Graphics are Terrible, Plot is Okay

Now maybe it's me, but I thought the graphics in the last of the series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4, were much better than the graphics for Tony Hawk Underground. There were a lot of glitches with the screen and many of the things you can do are made bad by the low-pixel graphics. The people are pretty badly-made compared to THPS4 and so are the automobiles.

The plot for this game is alright. It is pretty basic but they did a lot with it. There was one thing that annoyed me about the plot the whole time --Why are you helping everyone??? You play a punk skater!!! Why are you running or riding around looking to help people. Most of the goals didn't mae that much sense. Most of the goals were fun, though.

The game will be more or less fun if you're a skateboarder. There's two ways to look at it from that point of view. The first is, "Wow, this game is completely unrealistic! You can do 360s and sometimes 540s right on the sidewalk without a ramp." Or the second way would be, "Sweet! I could never do this stuff in real life! And look at all the cool obstacles!" I kind of had both of those in mind just so I could review it correctly.

The game isn't very challenging. It took me three days to beat and I probably played it two hours per day. I was playing it on Average or Medium the entire time, though. So if you want a real challenge, put it one Very Hard or Sick Mode. (I think that's what it's called.) A really good gamer would be done with this one in hours because there are really no dilemas other than trying to prove yourself as a skater.

The levels you play on are fantastic. The graphics are alright and the objects to grind and jump on are sweet. Some of the levels include Moscow (same Moscow used in Twisted Metal), New Jersey and the Secret level (my personal favorite), Hotter than Hell. It is a KISS stage where you can collect the letters K-I-S-S and the band will apear for you.

So altogether, the game is good. It is enjoyable enough to beat a couple of times. Everyone will have different complaints but in the end you will probably like it a little or a lot.

I've been reading through these game reviews and people are talkin about this game as if it was the same old thing. But I have played this game to the max. every one thinks its about being a no good no gooder. but i think people are misjudjing it. like even i thought it was gonna be a bad person thing. but i was proved wrong. i think this game teches wannabes the good times and hard things it takes to become a pro skater. so get yo lazy self off the net and go buy this game and sit yo lazy self on the couch and pop this game in and enjoi!

wow.....tony hawk underground is an awesome game for the ps2 for skateboarding fans..its alot better than the first 4 and now you have the element to get off your board unlike the rest of the 4....you go from a nobody to a somebody...this actually has a story line to it..it even has a create-a-trick mode...i would definetly reccomend T.H.U.G.(Tony Hawk Underground) to any who wants some good skateboarding video game time....

This is the 5th game of the tony hawk series, the third on the PS2. After playing Tony Hawks Pro Skater 4 way too much, after a while this game got boring, because it is the same thing, only you can walk, climb, and the graphics and better. But, the PS2 ONLY online mode made up for the boringness and addicted me just a Pro Skater 4 did. The soundtrak is pretty good, but nothing special. The tricks are crazier than ever, and you can also create your own! For people with a network adaptor you can also send an email to the neversoft webiste, then download your face to put in the game. The park editor is improved over last year, and you can now make your own goals. But, the online play is the best part of this game. Its broadband and dialup, so anyone with a network adaptor can play. No headset support, but you can have a USB keyboard to chat with the other people. If the host has broadband, there can be as many as 8 people in the game.
Overall this is a good game, but it gets boring fast after you beat the career mode and if you dont have a network adaptor

I like this game so much! The first time I wasen't good at it but I played it a lot and I got better at it. I would spend your money on this game if I were you!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a serious Tony Hawk fan and I love Tony Hawk's Underground.
Brovo Activision you did a great job. This is the Tony Hawk game. so many levels. So many suprises. So many everything. I love it. This is a really good game. If your looking for a good game look no further than Tony Hawk's Underground.

This game truley is unbelieveable. That's coming from a non-gamer. I spend maybe 10 hours all together a month on video games. That is, until Underground. This game kicks major ass. I am not many games, but when my brother (THE NON SKATEBOARDER) got the game and was playing it, I picked up the controler too.

My character is sponcered by Flip and I haven't even gotten that far, but I am still so in love with the game. Did I mention, I'm a GIRL!? Most females don't play the cool games, and truthfully they have no clue. While they are playing with their hair and makeup, I'm kicking major video game ass.

My first opinion after recieving the game for Christmas was "Oooh, look at the pretty graphics". The graphics are much better in this game than all of the previous versions.

Though the graphics are nicer, it comes at a cost. The Tony Hawk game that took hours and hours to beat before can now be completed beaten within the first hour and a half - two hours after opening the game. The challenges are fun, don't get me wrong, but they are far too easy. I was expecting this one to be just as dificult..if not more than all of the other version, but it's easier than Tony Hawk 1 and it takes a fraction of the time to complete.

If you're looking for a game that takes time and skill, this is not the game for you. I would get the earlier versions if you haven't got them, but don't waste your money on this one.

T.H.U.G is a great game dont get me wrong, the story is almost perfect, vehicals are a great idea create a trick is crazy and there are so many features in create a skater. but it's way to short i beat it in 3 days, the cool part was were you got to pick a label that you wanted to be on
