****UPDATE*** 5 stars for FUN: I got a chance to really sit down and play this game with some friends, and I must say, it is alot of fun. It felt like I was playing a mixture of Jet Moto and ATV:Offroad Fury... and that is a good thing. Sure, it doesnt compare graphically with PS3/Xbox 360 titles, but that isnt why we own a wii, right? We bought a wii because the games are fun and the controls are innovative. This game is a worthy title. Some online reviews really ripped into the controls... however, I found the controls to be really well done. ALso, I love that the game isnt stingy with Nitro/turbo...and it is diffucult enough that I am having to really work to get 1st place in all the events, and yet easy enough that newbies that come over are up and playing in no time! This is a fun title, and I suggest you buy it!
[Original review] When I bought this game, I didn't expect more than what I knew it was: an land version of Jet-Moto using the Wiimote for steering... and that is exactly what I got. I read reviews that the steering is tricky, and it can be. But, all in all, I am enjoying the game. I am really looking forward to more people buying it, as right now you can't always find people playing online, which is a feature that I am most excited about. Also, if you have a friend that also owns the game and is connected via wi-fi, you can connect peer to peer with this via wiiconnect and play them, which is a nice option for parents who want to be sure of who their kids are playing with...all you need is them to be added to your wii address book. I should also mention that there is a 4-player split screen mode that aint too shabby!
There seems to be alot of replay value as well... lots of unlockables and mini games, etc. I will update this review as soon as I get further in the game!
