incredible scenery upgrade - a must have addon

the difference in the landscape quality with this software is incredible - with a few exceptions, this really makes scenery look like the real thing - i have had no problems at all with my cheap video card running it in FS2004 with all that extra fine detail - to get my computer to run FS2004 at ulta high quality i run the frame rate at 10fps and no trouble running this software at that rate and quality

a few minor problems with realistic looking scenery: this software does not reposition FS2004's inaccuratly placed roads, rivers and such so often you get rivers running up and down hills and the ocean and lakes sometimes run up the side of cliffs a bit - often get trees and objects hanging in the air where land used to be! - occasionally cliffs and smaller "rocks" and hills tend to be flat slab sided, looking like perfect little pyramids and such - but these are trivial when you consider the incredible accuracy in general - but more often than not the effects are pretty close to accurate and awesome - also it seems for some reason most airports are now on little table tops now - i wonder what causes that as i now some of these airports are definitely level to the surrounding area

i used to be able to land planes just about anywhere due the the flat and gently rounded nature of most of FS2004 scenery - but world extreme changes the land to be quite bumpy as it would be in real life - used to be able to land a cessna grand caraven on top of some of the peaks of the himalayas but not anymore as they are now true peaks and rugged as they should be - the sawtooth mountains of idaho are really sawtoothed instead of the rolling hills they were before - and the bottom of the grand canyon is now truly a narrow steep canyon and a real challange to fly through at 300 knots

this software does include the whole world even though it never mentions the USA and everywhere i have flown with it installed the effect is awesome - when i flew over my wifes home in cebu philippines in original FS2004 i was disapointed as it looks like flat coastal areas and gently rolling hills which it is not - world extreme landscapes changed it to what it really is, a very rugged mountainous island with almost no flat areas, even on the coast

this is a must have add on even with its minor problems and i wouldnt think of flying without it now

The scenery is mostly of mountains and as such is excellent. I consider the program well worth the money.

Have not been able to get the program to load properly. Get an error message 1606 and have not been able to correct. Just wasted my money.
