It was fun, but only 6 games and non of them are for anyone over 12. Good price when I got it for $10 shipped though!

Unless you're REALLY into tetris games, or you're going to use the xbox live free month in this game, then don't bother. The positive, it gives you an idea about what kind of stuff is available on xbox live. There are periodic deals on this game that, if you're going to cash in the xbox live coupon, will make it worth while. Do the math. If this costs anything near the cost of a month of xbox live, then go for it.

Not really worth buying

I bought this because it comes with the full version of 6 games (two of which I like almost enough to pay for) plus a month of xbox Live Gold service as a redeemable card.

Unfortunately, these packages from Amazon are pretty old, and the free month expires in 2007, so if you try and use the code that's included, it will probably not work. I say probably because I haven't yet entered the code. I am waiting until next month to do so because I'm so slammed with work this month that there is no way I'll be able to play online games anyway.

It's still a good value at 8 bucks for these games. One thing I discovered is that you have to put the disc in to play them, which is a negative for two reasons: 1. You have to leave that disc in to play these casual arcade games that if you bought them on the Live service directly you would be able to play from the hard drive. 2. The optical drive on the 360 is noisy, and any opportunity you get to play a game without spinning a DVD in the tray is an opportunity to take advantage of. It seems like you should be able to move these over onto the hard drive, because they are pretty small games. oh well. Still a good deal at 8 dollars.

This game was a GREAT buy!

At the time I purchased the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged, it was only $7.99. It turned out to be an even better buy then I had planned on! I highly recommend picking this up.

cheers for geo-wars

if you have even heard of this package you have probably heard of it because of geometry wars. this single game is worth the total cost alone.

WOW, I NEVER EXPECTED IT TO BE THIS GOOD 8.5 OUT OF 10

Mini-game collections are a strange bunch. For every Wario Ware Inc. you get crap like the critically ashamed Fuzion Frenzy 2. Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged luckily finds itself in the Wario Ware Inc. crowd. This collection has some pretty neat games like my favorites: Bejeweled 2 and Geometry Wars. The are a few other interesting ones as well like Marble Mania and few others that are fun to play. There are maybe one or two weak links in this awesome package, and some of the games need to be fully downloaded on Xbox Live. But this game is successful in doing what it's supposed to do, give people simple, fun games. This game also makes me remember the good times with games like Wario Ware Inc. and early Mario Party games and why they were so fun in the first place.

Great Value and Great Idea

If you are thinking of purchasing just one of these titles via download and haven't done it yet, BUY THIS COLLECTION! Not only is it more bang for your buck, but you have the games on a disc in case your hard drive ganks on ya. Its no fun having to pay for games all over again just cuz your hard drive went bad. Its worth the money just for the "insurance".

Great if you haven't already purchased any of the games

The games on this are available for download from XBOX Live (XBL), so if you have already purchased one or more that way it may not be a good value for you.

This went on sale during Christmas 2007 for $7.99 and was an absolute bargain. It includes 1 month of XBOX Live Gold which alone is worth $3.33/month if you average it by the typical cost of $40/year.

I believe most of the games on here run 400 Microsoft Points on XBL or $5 each when you extrapolate the cost of the points. Given that, it is a good deal even at the current list price.

UPDATE: I have read that the XBL 1 month offer is expired. Yes, the date on it is expired. However, I have yet not been able to use an 'expired' XBL code. I purchased an XBL 1 year card and lost it for 2 years... when I found it again (yay) I decided to give it a try even though it was well over a year past expiration. It worked without any issue, just like the 1 month code that came with this game.
