I don't have internet on my boat , but think this would be a blast, does it work w/o a connection ?

If you are thinking of purchasing just one of these titles via download and haven't done it yet, BUY THIS COLLECTION! Not only is it more bang for your buck, but you have the games on a disc in case your hard drive ganks on ya. Its no fun having to pay for games all over again just cuz your hard drive went bad. Its worth the money just for the "insurance".

Unless you're REALLY into tetris games, or you're going to use the xbox live free month in this game, then don't bother. The positive, it gives you an idea about what kind of stuff is available on xbox live. There are periodic deals on this game that, if you're going to cash in the xbox live coupon, will make it worth while. Do the math. If this costs anything near the cost of a month of xbox live, then go for it.

The games on this are available for download from XBOX Live (XBL), so if you have already purchased one or more that way it may not be a good value for you.

This went on sale during Christmas 2007 for $7.99 and was an absolute bargain. It includes 1 month of XBOX Live Gold which alone is worth $3.33/month if you average it by the typical cost of $40/year.

I believe most of the games on here run 400 Microsoft Points on XBL or $5 each when you extrapolate the cost of the points. Given that, it is a good deal even at the current list price.

UPDATE: I have read that the XBL 1 month offer is expired. Yes, the date on it is expired. However, I have yet not been able to use an 'expired' XBL code. I purchased an XBL 1 year card and lost it for 2 years... when I found it again (yay) I decided to give it a try even though it was well over a year past expiration. It worked without any issue, just like the 1 month code that came with this game.

Arcade Fun

This is a great beginner's game for those new to the XBOX 360. The games included on the disk are fairly simple and easy to use. Just put in the disk and the xbox will have the arcade games added to your dashboard as long as your disk stays in the drive.

All of the games on this disk are easy to play. My personal favorite being Geometry Wars. This is a fun and colorful "Asteroids" style arcade game with simple mechanics and controls.

If you are having doubts about whether or not you will like the entire collection of games included on this disk, please remember that you can go to the XBOX Live Marketplace and download the trial version for ANY of the arcade games (assuming you have a Hard Drive).

I can confidently recommend this game to all xbox owners who don't want to lay out $60 on a single title, but would like to have a few short games for a fair price.

if you have even heard of this package you have probably heard of it because of geometry wars. this single game is worth the total cost alone.

I paid less than 4 dollars for this and the free month of X-box live alone is worth 10... The games are fine, you'll like at least 2 of the 6, but that's not important when you consider this a month of Live Gold. Buy it if you like playing on line and it pays you!

Great Value, Great Games

I got this for $10 with the Deal of the Day, and it was worth every penny. First, you get a free month of Gold Live. Second, it comes with a few $10 arcade games, so right there its paid for itself, even if you get it for $20.

Wik & the Fable of Souls - Surprisingly very fun. I beat the story mode and had a blast. Its sort of a puzzle/action/adventure in 2D. Each stage is just stationary, but you have to swing around collecting grubs and feeding them to your "mule".

Geometry Wars - Fery fun quick arcade game. I like these games because I can just pick up and play them for 10 minutes here and there. Try the achievement where you don't shoot for the first 60 seconds! It gets nuts and is fun!

Bejeweled 2 - If you like Bejeweled, then here you go. Looks great, has lots of modes.

Other games not really worth mentioning, the above games give you the most value and are totally worth it.

Great deal on Unplugged! Vol. 2, PLEASE??

WOW. I am red/green colorblind so Bejeweled 2 was no use to me whatsoever. The others, however, were great!
Wik is odd but fun, Geometry Wars, WOW, what can be said that hasn't been said for 2 years!!
And the free month of XBL Gold still works, even though it says it's expired, just put in the 5-25 code and it'll add it in just fine.

A great deal.
