Madden 2002 on X-box good overall but missing a key point

I got... and watched the Xbox simulate a game between the Packers and Bucs in Lambeau in a blizzard. It looked so real that I could have may as well been watching TV. The graphics are great. The game is like other versions of Madden for overall controls and options, but there are some additional details and things which make 2002 a really good football game. But there are two major weaknesses to the game: 1-there is no create your own player feature in the game. You can create a custom team and edit the jersey and mascot, but you must use exisiting NFL players to fill your roster. This is a big downer. 2-The music in the game... It's laid back and dull. This is supposed to be football!!! The game is good but not great because it does have it's few shortcomings. But for a football fan, it's still worth the buy.

Madden is as good as ever on this game but i have to admit that Nfl Fever is better. Don't get me wrong i love madden each year i wait for it to come out. I got madden first, played, thought it was a great game. Then i went to best buy, i saw an xbox and wondered what game was on there so i tried it out. the game was NFL Fever and i am stunned madden better start making something greater and better or for the next 10 years its gonna be NFL Fever once after another (we madden fans all know that madden started on sega genesis and kept going to today). Thats right fokes madden is running for its money (scary aint it?) if madden wants to keep on going for the next ten years it better think up something better than Nfl Fever (which i think is going to be mission impossible for madden).

Ps The reviewer that said that madden on the xbox is the exact same thing as on ps2 i want to ask you one question why did you buy it for xbox if u had it on ps2? WHen i buy a game i only buy it on one console.

DO NOT GET MADDEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS GAME IS HORRIBLE. I RENTED IT ...AND WAS MAD WHEN I PLAYED IT.HERE IS HOW I RATED IT

GAMEPLAY-0 STARS- EVEN ON THE VIKINGS RANDY MOSS CAN'T CATCH A THING!!

GRAPHICS-0 STARS- ITS LIKE MADDEN 99 ON N64. NOT MEANT FOR XBOX.

OTHER- 1 STAR- WHEN YOU CREATE A TEAM YOU CAN ACTUALLY PICK YOUR TEAM COLORS AND THERE IS NO DRAFT. SO YOU STILL HAVE A GOOD TEAM

This game has OK graphics. It's gameplay SUCKS, everything SUCKS!

This was a great game to get in 2002. Dont bother now, get 2003 but only for the better rosters. I guess you could do this in 2002 but you need to update stats and trade players away, ex. Ricky Williams to the dolphins but it might take a while. ALso you can't add players to the Texans. The controls and gameplay is great. The commentary is average but the player models look fantastic with real-life faces that you can make. You could make a moustached-bearded 400 pound guy or a little, bald, 160 pound kicker. Overall- a great port.

I would rather play NFL 2K on my Dreamcast

Madden went way down hill with this release. Why are the players heads so large, and why are they smiling all the time? I am not impressed.

i just want to say that the review that bashed madden because it is the exact same as the playstation 2 version is true, but because it has to be. ea sports has a contract with all the major gaming manufacturers that they must make every sports game for each system and it has to be the same version. if ea sports could make a different version, they probably would but they cant by contract. as for the game, i havent played it. it looks sweet, so thats why im reading these reviews, ill give it a 5 to balance that weak rating that the madden basher gave. when you type a review, make sure you have the facts right.

If you like your football realistic, buy Madden 2002. If you like arcade style football go with Fever or 2k2. It's as simple as that.

Do not let the cover of madden graphics fool you.
They are way diffrent then the graphics in the Madden game.
2k graphics are better but no were close of the game play.
Fever graphics are no were close as madden graphics or even game
play. Madden graphics are mabe not the best of the best but the game play is.And madden practice is better then 2k&fever real game. the practice helpsyou how to do play or you can teach your self.
