Aliens Invade!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 12 / 12
Date: December 30, 2000
Author: Amazon User

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fight off an alien invasion? Well now you can. Incoming will let you test your "alien fighting" skills. The first thing you will notice is the wonderful graphics. The enviornments are done beautifully. They are smooth and not choppy during intense scenes. The sound effects are some of the best I have heard on the DC. No corny sound effects here. If you really want to experience them, hook your DC to your stero system and let it rip! As far as the gameplay goes, well it is straight forward. You must destroy alien craft that are attacking. Each mission is different. Some missions you fly a Harrier or other aircraft. In other missions you control gun turrets and tanks to defend you base. Each mission takes place in different parts of the world. The mountains, the Artic, Tropical Islands and even defending oil rigs and Cruise Liners in the ocean. The controls are easy to learn. Each vehicle has its own ways of controling it. At first they seem impossible and confusing, but hang with it! Soon you will have things under control. I have had the game for about 3 months. I still have not finished it yet, so I don't know how it ends. I think if you spent about 10 hours nonstop playing the game, you could finish it. Bottom line; Don't let the low price scare you. I would have payed $45 for this game. It is a very good acton packed game. Even the younger people can play this one. Enjoy!

Very fun

This game is very fun and I recommend it to any Dreamcast user. The only problem is that it is a lot more fun if you have more than one player. It gets boring if you are the only one playing. However, it is awesome if you have 2 players.

This game sucks

Come, if you read the review, you'll think that the games is fantastic, it isn't. In the beginning everything is Ok, but went you get to level 6, everything going down the toilet, if you lost one of the mision you have to begins again the level, that sucks; think this, you are on mision ten on level six and you die and boom you have to begins again the level. Level 7,8,9,10, one mision that it take to past about 10 minutes and boom, again, you finish the game.

If you who read this review, are tinking to buy this games, look to the other way and buy another one.

HOPE U ENJOY IT! (fun game trust me)

With many game options and trading off from a jet to a tank to a helicopter to a soilder, Incoming is for people who enjoy war games or just blowin things up!

Classic Case of Meaningless Variety

Incoming still looks fairly good, and has an occassional interesting mission. However, it never gels as a complete game, but rather as a collection of often tedious and boring missions with no point.

Worse, the many vehicles you command are there only to force "variety", each with unnecessarily differing control schemes to fulfill the SAME purpose as another machine.

Rage had another early shooter on DC that was much more successful from a gameplay standpoint--Expendable.

Incoming is a bomb

Incoming is good game for people who like shot'em up games like space invaders and centipede. Basically its those games except in 3D. The only thin that stands out is you can shot up aliens in a bunch of different vehicles that the game has. but its not really a game for me. I prefer first and third person shotting games.
