This is a great game. You start by making Power Plants(coal or Nuclear) and Power lines, Residentail,Commercail, and Industrial zones,Parks, and Roads. Then as you're city grows you need to build Stadiums(To keep you're citizens from getting bored),Police and Fire Fighters(to handle emergencies),and ports( Seaport:for shipping you're Industry's products Airport:for transporting commercail Business people). You may also need Mass transit(RailRoad) lines to keep traffic from getting too heavy or you can just make Rail Lines by themselves(that can be quite expensive, though). Later in the game you get several rewards including a zoo,a mayor's house, and may, many more! Also When you're city reaches a certain size you're citizens will make Privately owned Hospitals and schools in residentail areas. Plus you have a Advisor that notifies you about Disasters, rewards, when you're doing a good job,and when you're city has 2000(town),10000(city),50000(capitol),100000(Metropolis),or 500000(Megalopolis) people. Plus there a total of 8 scenarios in the game(two of them are bonus ones that you can only get when you've completed the first 6 Scenarios and had one of you're cities reach Metropolis status though). It may not be as new or cool as Sim City 3000 Unlimited but it's a great one for begginers.

This is a great game - Sim City, everyone who is looking at this little review knows what the game is, and sim city 2000 was what really brought the series to light.

I am writing here to suggest that anyone interested in this version opt out instead for the PC version which will run on any windows platform from windows 95 to windows xp.
The super nintendo version of this game has load times, which is a very rare occurance for a cartridge based video game system, but this happens when you push games onto the system that are extremely memory intensive.

A great game, but meant to be played on a pc.
