This a truly fun game. Short, but amazingly fun.
Graphics: 9/10
Great graphics add to the fun of this game. The mobile suits (giant robots) are very detailed and cool looking. The enviroment isn't the best but are better than your average game.
Gameplay: 9/10
FUN!! You have 4 Moblie souts to choose from. Each with it's weapons. Then you go duke it out with your foe! First gun! Then come in with the swords! The sword fighting makes you feel like your actually in the mobile suit!
Replay Value: 5/10
Too short. A great game and all but just to short. The first time you play is grand, but.... after that it's pretty much just a game in your library. Multiplayer and other modes would make it better.
Almost perfect game!

I am a big fan of Gundam and I think this game captures the cartoon into a great game. I think that the graphics are great. I love the sound and the game feels like you are in a real gundam. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was because the game is only 9 levels. If you are a fan of Gundam you will LOVE this game!!!!

What can I say? This is simply one of the best games ever released for any system, (yes, I'm including PS2 and X-Box) it doesn't quite hit Sonic Adventures' gameplay, it is still superb. Controls will have you a little frantic when you first try them out, but you'll soon be manipulating them like a pro. Your standard mission would be dropping out of an aircraft, locating an enemy mobile suit, boosting over to him and firing your main machine-gun. When you close in, your beam saber pops up and it becomes a furious hand-to-hand battle. Swords probably do the most damage. But during the sword fights, is where the game really shines. After blowing up the enemy (and i mean BLOW. They are really BIG explosions) you have won. Oh yeah, this game isn't half as easy as it sounds.
Game Good Replay value better

THIS GAME IS AWSOME! I love the game but love playing it after I beat it more. Controls are a little complicated but take only 5 mintues tops to get the hang of. Diffulculty settings are ok. Easy and Medium are well easy. Hard is hard until the last mission then it's almost impossible. Yet, I still recomend buying this game.
I don't got it

This, boys and girls, is a superb game. Hardcore grunt warfare between the faceless GMs of the Earth Federation and the evil one-eyed Zakus, Goufs and Doms of the fascist Duchy of Zeon. Lots of fun! A warning, though. Players of Mechwarrior will be able to relate well to this game as it takes place completely in your GM's cockpit! It's actually a great game... The controls are a little scary for the beginner, especially with keeping your mobile suit lined up with its legs, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes quite fun. The only true problem with it is that you only get a pithy nine missions, each one fun and action-packed, but still... Nine missions is only one straight day of playing, you know. Anyhow, this isn't really a long-running action game, like Shenmue or Sonic Adventure, but rather, a game you play over and over to get a progressively better score, kind of like the old N64's beloved Starfox. Pretty much, if you're a fan of Gundam and have a little patience to learn the controls, this is your game. Four playable mobile suits against seven Zeon (...) suits and all the fun support craft, like tanks and aircraft, that anyone could want in a good war game. Excellent graphics, too. Highly reccommended.

I am a Gundam fanatic, since I was very little,
and if you are one, you should definitely get this game.
the mechs in this game moves and sounds exactly like they
do in the manga, for example, when the mechs hop around(not flying)using their vernier, it feels and sounds like
what you would have imagined it to be like. And fighting
against your enemy using your beam sabre, feels incredible!
However, this game is full of flaws.
first would be the length of it, it is way too short.
there is a story involved(hence,"side story"), and you follow
through it the whole game. there are only about 9 missions
and you will be able to finish the game in about a day or two.
also, when you play it again, the "battle environment" or the
location of the enemies in each level never changes,
greatly reducing its replay value. I just wish that
it had a two or four player mode, or even a internet access
so that people can just go at it with one-another.
Or even a simple single player survivor/mayhem mode.
Another is that the whole game is in first-person view, and there is no option for a third-person.
Personally I like to look at the mech that I'm controlling
cuz I've dreamed about controlling these great looking
wonders since I was in kindergarten.
Plus, there aren't much choice for the Mechs, only 4, and the
best mech of it all, you only get to control it in the
last mission.
It has it's flaws, but if you are a fanboy of gundam series,
you'll luv this game. I mean, you get to control one of these
mechs, isn't that enuf for ya?
and even if you are not a fan of the series, here is your chance to catch the essence of it, just get into the
whole gundam mania.
eventhough it has its gameplay issues, it looks great,
controls great, sound great(the chatters with your wingman),
and again, gundam maniacs out there, get this game!

It's an extreamly fun gam that I love. It's almost perfect except one thing. This game is titles GUNDAM Side Story, but there are no Gudams in this game. They just have a GM, a GM canon type and a Guncanon.
