No I'm not talking about basketball, I'm Talking about GUNDAM for the Dreamcast. This game is nothing less than spectacular, even though it is a little short. Who cares if it doesn't have Gundams or the Gundams from Gundam Wing, The game is still Great!

Gundam Side Story 0079 is a cross between Armored Core from the Playstation and Earthsiege from the PC. It's not quite ground based as Earthsiege and not quite as quick in hovering and jumps as Armored Core. It doesn't really have a whole lot of choices in mobile suits or variety of weapons as one would hope so its below Armored Core or Earthsiege in that respect as well. At most, it has 4 mobile suits and about 5 or six different weapons. It does simulate piloting a mobile suit as would be expected in a Gundam world pretty well. So, if you're into Gundam or want a mech game that's more down to earth than AC, this would be it. The controls, although at first overwhelming, are actually pretty solid and become much easier as times go by. I can pretty much go into battle, enter snipe mode, and go back into normal battle mode by instinct now, and I've only had the game for two days. I think the only drawback to this game is the small number of missions.... Nine in total if I remember right. And the AI of the computer if you're a flagrant sniper like I was, wasn't very smart in coming after you right away if you sent your two wingmen to attack close up. Still, as a first import Gundam game, it's a nice way to get introduced to the Gundam world with some nice, solid gameplay.

Hello,

For those of you expecting a Gundam Wing game with Gundam Wing characters and mechs, this is not for you! This game takes place in the actual Gundam universe rather than the alternate universe Gundam Wing takes place in. It's a pretty fast paced game with incredible graphics and animation, and plays out like a very decent strategy game like Front Mission for Playstation. I gave it a star lower that I would have normally because it is a short game with only 7 missions to play and beat. All in all though, this is the best Gundam game I've played compared to some of the lack luster ones made in Japan for Sega Saturn, and Super Nintendo.

This is a great game. One problem is it's only 9 missions long,but you can go through some missions diffrently. Those of you who want it because you love the show(on cartoon network)Maybe shouldn't get it,but there is a gundam wing game on super nes that's pretty cool. But overall Gundam Side Story a fun game to play,so you probably should get it anyway.

I loved the game but if your friend has it just play it with him. It will take you about two hours to beat and it is short. It is a rental not a buyer.

This, boys and girls, is a superb game. Hardcore grunt warfare between the faceless GMs of the Earth Federation and the evil one-eyed Zakus, Goufs and Doms of the fascist Duchy of Zeon. Lots of fun! A warning, though. Players of Mechwarrior will be able to relate well to this game as it takes place completely in your GM's cockpit! It's actually a great game... The controls are a little scary for the beginner, especially with keeping your mobile suit lined up with its legs, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes quite fun. The only true problem with it is that you only get a pithy nine missions, each one fun and action-packed, but still... Nine missions is only one straight day of playing, you know. Anyhow, this isn't really a long-running action game, like Shenmue or Sonic Adventure, but rather, a game you play over and over to get a progressively better score, kind of like the old N64's beloved Starfox. Pretty much, if you're a fan of Gundam and have a little patience to learn the controls, this is your game. Four playable mobile suits against seven Zeon (...) suits and all the fun support craft, like tanks and aircraft, that anyone could want in a good war game. Excellent graphics, too. Highly reccommended.

Gundam Side story 0079 is good game, very realistic (I mean that as in It seems that you are piloting a massive robot). The only complaint is that it is far too short. Very detailed and good story beleive it or not for a piloting game. I'm a fan of the Gundam series and this dosen't disapiont even with the absence of actual gundams. Great mech simulation game much better than the Mech Warrior series.

This is easily the best videogame incarnation og the series to date. plays like a sim with a terrific sence of scale and atmosphere very impressive game the controlls pretty easy the game is just like the shows, games, cartoons and movies i found this game (Gun-DAMN FUN) best game for the Dream Cast system.

I just want to say that this game is great in lots of ways, having seen a lot of gundam series and their stories this game is no exception, a great plot and mouth wattering graphics this game is a must have for any gundam fan or shooter fan. Great game, although it would be nice with gundams but Its still game is great.

I love this game! This game rocks! But it should have the Gundams in Gundam Wing. That would be more fun! But this game is still fun. I personally like the short range attck light saber fights. I also like snipering down enemys with the sniper laser cannon. I love this game
