This game is a blast to play. It is charming in every way, kid-friendly yet enjoyable for adults, and packed full of enough content to satisfy any Star Wars fan.
On the other hand, there is very noticeable screen tearing. I don't know if this can be addressed in an update, or if it will, but it is a very distracting graphical glitch.
Great value

This is a fun game and a great value. By including two previously released games, updating the graphics, and adding additional content, this game was not only fun to play but also a terrific value.
If you have not played any of the previous Star Wars Lego games and enjoy action platformer types games this is a must buy. The action is light, fun, and addictive. There are some minor annoyances, the odd camera issue and some of the platforming aspects - controls could be a hair tighter - but these are generally minor annoyances.
To top it off, the game delivers goofball humor that is funny without being overly cheesy. Combine the easy to approach action with secrets and collectibles not obtained on a first play through and you have a game that actually appeals to all ages with tons of replay value.
Finally, the Star Wars license has been put to good use. Easily the best Star Wars game on any Playstation platform.
So far the best game I could find for 9 years old ...

It is amazing that games are created mainly for adults with violent tendency. I don't mind to play a shooter from time to time, but there is so much more as potential for games and enjoyment for the whole family. So far this is the only title for ps3 I found that is fun and acceptable for kids.
Anybody knows about something better? The only problem that is that puzzles become difficult for 9 years old (and me) at higher levels).
Everything you'd expect

This is a highly enjoyable romp through the 6 Star Wars movies. There is responsive gameplay, some replay value, and undeniable charm. For someone who is not a Star Wars fan, however, a lot of the joy of the game is lost. For any fans, however, it's a must-buy.
A great buy!

After reading several reviews, I was pretty sure I would enjoy this game. I'm glad I bought it. It's got a quick learning curve, ALL kinds of extras to discover, an enormous cast of characters, and it's one of those games that plays thru somewhat speedily and doesn't drag out. My only complaint is that the controls can be a bit hard to manage when it comes to jumping up onto things.
The levels progress rapidly, but are plentiful. After completing you can go back in "free play" mode and play the levels as any unlocked character, which you must in order to get all the goodies. I was a bit worried that after completing a level I would not want to go back, but that's not the case at all. It's enough fun that you really want to achieve the goals. The sound effects are well done, and often time hilarious. The game if full of droid sounds, ambience in the Cantina, ships racing thru space, and light sabers. Padme's death cry still cracks me up!
I would highly recommend this game. It's great fun for one or two players, and that's hard to find these days!
A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.... *cue music*

This is a pretty fun little game. Should appeal to pretty much all age groups. I give a 4/5 stars only because it has very little to no re playability. To counteract that though, it does have about 40+hrs of game play. The graphics are good, sound is decent, and controls are top notch. A few of the puzzles are fairly challenging to figure out and there are plenty of rewards to collect(if you're into that). Overall great game. I'd definitely recommend picking up a copy.
The Whole Saga with a little bit of cool humor !!

I am a big Star Wars fan. This game, despite it's perhaps "kiddie" look, quenches my appetite for Star Wars !!
The best aspect of this game is that I can play it with my seven year old and have a blast !! The two player co-op feature is a lot of fun and is made even better by the "drop-in, drop-out" ability. If one person gets tired or needs to run to the fridge, they can just drop out and let the PS3 take their character back over and then come back in if and when they so desire. The game is very clean as far as content as well and you have nothing to fear for your younger aspiring gamers.
There is some really cute and funny humor here too. I even found myself laughing when Padme dies in Revenge of the Sith and her eyes turn to X's...hee hee. Sad but true.
The graphics are great and really immerse you in the storyline. The Lego versions of all our favorite characters are true to form and yet give us a cute look at all our heroes. The ships, vehicles, and the rest of the world do justice to both Lego and what we come to expect from Star Wars titles.
There are TONS of unlockables and free play options. Even after you play the game through, there are so many special features and new characters you can access that make free play fun for a long time !! You can even mix and match characters to create "Jar Jar Vader" or "Princess Palpatine" Hee hee. You can even unlock old versions of levels and play them as they were before they were revamped for this game.
If you are looking for serious, hardcore, blood and guts Star Wars action, then wait for the Force Unleashed. If you wanna have some fun in the Star Wars spirit while still having something that you can play with your kids, then this is your game !! Don't get me wrong either, you will still like this game even if you don't have kids with online co-op and other features.
The ONLY drawback I have found is that some levels are a bit too easy, but otherwise it's great !!
Fun Way to Relive the Star Wars Saga

The LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga is great way for all the Star Wars fans to relive the saga in the LEGO universe, with some exceptions.
To highlight the great points about the game, first off the graphics are superb on full 1080p HD. The colors are bright, the shading is excellent and the overall quality really showcases the PS3's power. The sound is also really well done, with an excellent soundtrack to compliment your adventures.
The replay value of this game is high, since there are a fair amount of areas in each level that can only be unlocked using certain characters, many of whom you do not unlock until later episodes. There are also places that cannot be reached unless you use a particular character (such as Jar Jar Binks, who can jump higher than any other character) to pick up the bonus items in each level.
The only exceptions that I have (and only just a few at that) to a full 5-star rating are the lack of humor that has been in previous LEGO Star Wars games. There is various scenes that are somewhat humorous, but I thought there would be more slapstick humor as in the previous games. Also, the studs that you must collect for money seem to disapear very quickly, forcing you to completely stop fighting and pick them all up before they disapear in order to get full Jedi status in each level. This can be annoying, especially if you die and lose a portion of your studs.
The only other gripe I have about the game is the use of the SIXAXIS controller, which on the few levels that it is used, can take a lot of time getting used to and can be very frustrating.
All in all, this is a great game but not quite perfect. I do highly recommend this game if you are a fan of LEGO or Star Wars. One of the best so far for PS3!

Great content, this game packs a ton of content. Graphically it does justification to the PS3 power. With online co-op, best version in the series. It has very good puzzles and very well paced action.
Easy gift choice for all ages.

Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga is far more superior to games such as its predecessors. Yet this game lacks nothing wrong with it, the create a character is just a hindrance to me but maybe some people like it. This game is really fun and it was very smart to combine both Lego Star Wars The Videogame and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. The second one is really entertaining, but the first one lacks most fun of the prequel trilogy. Hopefully, The Complete Saga will add better features in this game such as a funner Anakin versus Obi-wan battle or maybe chase for Zam Wessel. That is all I can review about this videogame.
