Fun for 5 and 45 year olds

I bought this for my 5 year old nephew to play while he's over and it's just wonderful. He loves it and when he pulled me in to fight droids, I found myself having just as much fun as he is. There's plenty of levels, it's not too hard so he doesn't get frustrated, great variety of things to do and you can go back and more fully explore levels even after you complete them. You can be any number of characters and they are customizable. He and I fight over who gets to be Qui-Gon Jinn!

Highly recommended fun for all ages.

Duh, It's awesome!

This game is simply awesome.
Great for a party, killing time alone, and for all ages.
Any fan of legos or star wars will appreciate this game.

This game is plenty of bang for the buck.
You won't beat it in 5 days like most ps3 games out there.
Highly recommended classic.

Great game

This is a great game and well worth the money.

As far as completion time it is probably average for a PS3 game. Probably 10-15 hours for a first timer if you play straight through. However, there are so many extras and puzzles on each of the levels that can't be completed the first time through that you are drawn back for more. I'm at about 40 hours of play time and have completed most of the extras and goodies. I'll soon be starting from the beginning and doing it all over again.

The gameplay and extras make this game well worth the money. Plus some of the action and movie clips are so funny, you should be laughing out loud at points in the game. Star Wars fan or not, I definately recommend this to anyone. Young, old, and anyone in between, regardless of what types of video games you typically enjoy.

Fun Way to Relive the Star Wars Saga

The LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga is great way for all the Star Wars fans to relive the saga in the LEGO universe, with some exceptions.

To highlight the great points about the game, first off the graphics are superb on full 1080p HD. The colors are bright, the shading is excellent and the overall quality really showcases the PS3's power. The sound is also really well done, with an excellent soundtrack to compliment your adventures.

The replay value of this game is high, since there are a fair amount of areas in each level that can only be unlocked using certain characters, many of whom you do not unlock until later episodes. There are also places that cannot be reached unless you use a particular character (such as Jar Jar Binks, who can jump higher than any other character) to pick up the bonus items in each level.

The only exceptions that I have (and only just a few at that) to a full 5-star rating are the lack of humor that has been in previous LEGO Star Wars games. There is various scenes that are somewhat humorous, but I thought there would be more slapstick humor as in the previous games. Also, the studs that you must collect for money seem to disapear very quickly, forcing you to completely stop fighting and pick them all up before they disapear in order to get full Jedi status in each level. This can be annoying, especially if you die and lose a portion of your studs.
The only other gripe I have about the game is the use of the SIXAXIS controller, which on the few levels that it is used, can take a lot of time getting used to and can be very frustrating.

All in all, this is a great game but not quite perfect. I do highly recommend this game if you are a fan of LEGO or Star Wars. One of the best so far for PS3!

I am a big Star Wars fan. This game, despite it's perhaps "kiddie" look, quenches my appetite for Star Wars !!

The best aspect of this game is that I can play it with my seven year old and have a blast !! The two player co-op feature is a lot of fun and is made even better by the "drop-in, drop-out" ability. If one person gets tired or needs to run to the fridge, they can just drop out and let the PS3 take their character back over and then come back in if and when they so desire. The game is very clean as far as content as well and you have nothing to fear for your younger aspiring gamers.

There is some really cute and funny humor here too. I even found myself laughing when Padme dies in Revenge of the Sith and her eyes turn to X's...hee hee. Sad but true.

The graphics are great and really immerse you in the storyline. The Lego versions of all our favorite characters are true to form and yet give us a cute look at all our heroes. The ships, vehicles, and the rest of the world do justice to both Lego and what we come to expect from Star Wars titles.

There are TONS of unlockables and free play options. Even after you play the game through, there are so many special features and new characters you can access that make free play fun for a long time !! You can even mix and match characters to create "Jar Jar Vader" or "Princess Palpatine" Hee hee. You can even unlock old versions of levels and play them as they were before they were revamped for this game.

If you are looking for serious, hardcore, blood and guts Star Wars action, then wait for the Force Unleashed. If you wanna have some fun in the Star Wars spirit while still having something that you can play with your kids, then this is your game !! Don't get me wrong either, you will still like this game even if you don't have kids with online co-op and other features.

The ONLY drawback I have found is that some levels are a bit too easy, but otherwise it's great !!

My daughter LOVES this game (and I admit I do, too. lol)

We had the other Star Wars lego games on PS2 for a while now... then some.. err..someone stole it. Well, we decided to upgrade to a PS3 and the new Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga was #1 on my daughters wish list.

This game is GREAT. It's just like the others with a few extra characters and you get to use them all in game play and in the cantina.

One of the silliest fun things about this is how you can just wonder around with the characters getting into bar fights; killing Jar Jar over and over again (I wanted to do this since seeing Ep. 1 ha!) to hear his hilarious death cry; making slave Leia dance of tables, etc..

Ok.. and the levels are great fun as well. lol ;-P We are always finding goodies that we had missed the last time we played the game.

Do I recommend this game? Yes, of course I do! It's hours of hilarious fun. (The only problem I see with it is when the time comes to turn the game off. Be prepaired to hear: "But mom/dad?! Can I play one more level?!" *eyes all bloodshot* lol)

This is a great game. My young sons and I all love to play. The fact that we can play together in 2 Player is a bonus for us. Very fun and will provide many hours of entertainment.

There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth every time you try to get your kid away from the game. No... really. This game is like crack for kids. I somewhat regret ever having bought it, but being able to sleep in on the weekends because the kid is playing this game does have its merits. Sure, I feel somewhat like a failed parent using Darth Vader to babysit my kid on Saturday mornings, but hey... Dr. Phil hasn't called me yet.

My son is 6 years old. When I was 6, I had Pong.

The Father and Son I speak of are my own. This game was purchased originally for my grandson, but his dad loves playing it just as much as my grandson does. They sit down and take turns playing. It provides a good bonding time for them.

Fun for all

I don't know how long I searched for a good game my children could play together. They are 5 and 11 and both love it! The co-op play is much better than others we have tried and besides they work together instead of trying to beat each other up. I would recommend this as one of best PS3 games we have so far. We also love Rachet and Clank but we have to take turns...
