PS2 is Not even comparable to XBox!

PS2 is highly defective and it doesn't play DVD's without a problem occuring! The games are same-old, same-old and its graphics aren't all that great. XBox is a lot better and it plays DVD's without a single Problem!
BUY XBOX, NOT PS2!

Let me first start off by saying I'm a huge gamer. But to pay [amt] for a PlayStation 2 is crazy. I just got one for Christmas, and I'm more than [ticked]. The DVD/DVD-Rom is GREAT, it plays flawlessly (unlike all the bad feedback it gets). However, the games graphics are'nt. Indeed they are better, but who's to say that graphics is all it's about? Like I said before, I'm a huge gamer, (I have PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Super Nintendo, Regular Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Gameboy), but the PS2 leaves something out. I can't quite put my finger on it, but I think it's extremely over-rated. I know I will probably get a lot of votes against me, but this is how I feel about this paticular console.

I went out and rented All Star Baseball 2002, but it was'nt very good. The graphics are about as good as All Star Baseball 1998 for Nintendo 64, or maybe worse. The gameplay is horrible. It's almost like playing Spy Hunter for regular Nintendo.

Some people might enjoy PS2, as for me, I think I'm gonna go for Microsoft X-Box next. Maybe it won't be as disappointing as the PS2. I think the main reason for me trashing this game system is because I have a DVD Player as well as the PS1. That makes it seem like I got the same thing I already have. If you're looking for Graphics and Gameplay, you might want to try out the X-Box or maybe the Nintendo Gamecube. But for me, I would stay away from the PS2, unless you don't have a DVD Player, DVD-Rom for your computer and a regular PlayStation.

When I first heard of PS2, I thought this would definitely be the system too buy. When I had bought it, I realized all the hype about it was false. I kept chucking the controller down when it took 5 minutes to load Madden 2002. The loading time was outrageously long. Then in late November, when Gamecube had come out, I bought it...SO then when, I had bought Gamecube along with Rouge Leader, which was good, I waited anxiouly for Super Smash Brothers Melee. AND WAS IT GOOD! Nintendo had come out with a game in they're first month with the Gamecube than had PS2 had ever had...Nintendo has way better games than even PS2... And for you people who think Gamecube has kiddie games... like how Nintendo is sticking to Zelda. Well I don't think most "kiddies" can beat Zelda. Gamecube has Metroid Prime, Rouge Spear, Eternal Darkness Sanity's Return, Six Resident Evil Games (did I say six! Yes I did) in the making and much more still to come out. Listen to me. Gamecube is the system to get and has more third party developers than any other console. Just wait to they get more games out and we'll see who will win the console war.

X BOX is what you should be looking for

this is the worst I have spent money on PS2 is not worth [money] the dvd player skips every 15 minuts because it is only 4x which is put in the PS2 just so you would think it was beter than the supior Dreamcast but in reality GT3 is the worst
racing game I have ever played and the memory cards are [money] and for [money] you can get a ... which you can play games on because it is equal to a ... so the best thing to do with a PS2 ... is to smash it and get on tape to show Sony that this was their worst ever Gran turismo 2 is more fun to play than the 3rd the only game on PS2 would be Gran theft auto 3 and it would have better graphics on dreamcast and would be twice as more fun so do us all a favor and buy a ... one reason Dreamcast is beter is that it has more polly gons per second than the ... 2 and Metropolis Street racer has double the graphics than PS2. The best things to do with a PS2 is either sell it for [money], burn it or even smash it destruction is needed for ... systems like this peice of ... if you rate to ... matter it might rate higher but just get a ... it just rocks.

buy the ETHERNET card and SAVE THE GLOBAL ECONOMY

Everybody should buy the ethernet card for it console.

And the reason for this is that this will enable that more than 10 million people get connected at home with 100Mb conection. This would be great for the entire economy, because the ISP will have more revenue, and also people like Lucent or Cisco will sale more infraestructure equipment... yeah, I know that this could be booring, but this could mean that this console could help to the economy to grow again.

So... buy an Game Cube, xbox or a PS2 with ethernet card and enjoy the new internet for games!!!!

When I saw ps2 I was going to buy it but then I went to my freinds house and played it and thought that I should get a gamecube or xbox.

I have a ps2 unlike these other bashers its fine i get games before xbox and gamecube but im gonna pick up an xbox as well because of it being the most powerful system and having the best graphics. Others will say power doesnt matter but its the only other good system and i usually have had 2 consoles. The gamecube is disapointing besides having more ram and being able to show 8 textures at once its only a little more powerful that the ps2. The games on gamecube is alot more disappointing for the older gamer. I would recomend the gamecube for someone under the age of 12. Steer clear of gamecube if your not in that age group or you'll go insane by pokemon some other childish series of games. Nintendo is also known for delaying and canceling games. If ya want a system now get the ps2 if your patient get xbox.

You can buy all the parts separately for a little more than half of what they're charging.

Choose PS2 you won't regret it.

This system definitively lives up to it's reputation. There may be lots of reviews about all the systems available today and I personnaly wasn't sure what to get after reading everything on XBox, PS2 and the CUBE. The choice really came down to PS2 or the XBox. Cube is geared more towards young kids, no extreme games. Not being sure I went out to the stores and played both systems. I was equally impressed but then the obvious decision came down to the game choices available for the PS2. What good is the best system without a lot of games ? PS2 is the way to go you won't get bored and always will find some new game to keep you interested in playing. I recomend getting a PS2. The design is sharper and more compact over the XBox. You will also save a $100 ... a couple of extra games for the PS2. (Turismo 3 is the most realistic racing game yet.)
