Fury of Egypt!

This game is so terrible. It basically details the very rubbish side of Yu-Gi-Oh!. You start with rubbish cards, yet everyone else has 2250 ATK monsters and unstoppable magic cards. The story is basically about Egypt. A high mage has found ancient sourcerous powers and attacks the Pharoah's palace. Now as the Prince of Egypt, you must find the mage and get vengeance for your Father's demise. A not very good game, includes Free Duel mode where you can duel anyone you want and Password function whereas you can use the bottomleft numbers of Yu-Gi-Oh! trading cards as passwords to get them in the game (they cost starchips and quite a lot at that so hoping to buy a Blue-Eyes White Dragon? He costs 9999 starchips! Fat chance). You get to summon high-level monsters straight to the field instead of a few tributes, but with rituals you still need to sacrifice. A good side is that there is a good variety of monsters like Black Luster Soldier, Dark Magician, Super War Lion, Summoned Skull and Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Of course, whether you want to buy it or not is your opinion!

Screws with the rules too much...

Okay, I'm not a super Yu-Gi-Oh! fan but it's all right. As long as the rules are right! This game completly changes the rules, there ar no effect monsters, some magic and trap card effects are even different, and worst of all is the starchip feature. If you completly cream an oponet you get a whopping 5 star chips when it takes over 1000 to get something decent. So that's 200 battles just to get something DECENT. To get a really good card, well prepare to give up sleep for about a month or play regularly for a year...

If you want to play a good Yu-Gi-Oh! Game get Stairway To Destiny Duel for Gameboy Advance. It uses the real rules and real effects. I havn't played every Yu-Gi-Oh! game so I can't say what other ones are good, but this one's not.

It [is bad]

This game totally [is bad]. For two reasons 1.because the game isn not challenging enough. and 2. When you buy cards you have to give star chips on eds you do not have to pay anything. get eds for game boy advance. i am YU-GI-OH

Boring and why bother.

This game is terribly dull and frustrating to boot. You have to devote a couple of years and hours in to get decent cards. The starchip requirement for decent cards is insane like 999,999 starchips simply to get Harpie Lady or Dark Magician which are no where near powerful as the the blue eyes white dragon. You basically have to cheat to get far in this game. Playing the honest way would be a waste of time. I recommend you either use game shark or have plenty of playstation one memory cards on hand to get somewhere in this game. Your deck is random whenever you start a new file. Most often you'll get a lousy deck.
Overall don't buy this game unless you're a hard core Yu Gi Oh! What a waste of time and money. I sold my copy to gamers though.

ehhhh

The game was pretty cool, really. Theres a couple of things that dissapointed me though. Like really, all you need is a really strong card to win. If you get a Meteor Black Dragon (ATK: 3500 (DEF: 2500), you basically win, thers not much that can beat that card. Then if you add Mountain to that, your unstoppable. You could be Obalisk the Tourmentor if you wanted if you added a dragon treasure to that. And theres no really stratigie to it. Its not like the show at all. And theres too many cards with 999,999. Who the hell is gonna play that long just to get that many star chips. That would take forever. So if you really want strong cards, just use game shark and use the all cards cheat. Soo much easier. Too bad I found that out after I beat it.

Different from the card game, but fun

A couple caveats first: If you play the card game, get this premium version - it comes with Harpies Pet Dragon, Metalmorph & Red Eyes Black Metal Dragon, good to play or trade. If you don't play the card game get the regular version and save yourself five bucks. Second, if you only own a PS2, you can play this but you have to buy a PS1 memory card - this is especially important if you're giving this as a Christmas gift, if your kid doesn't have a PS1 memory card he's going to be cheesed that he can't save.

In this game, you roleplay as Yugi, and the storyline takes you to fight lots and lots of duels. They're a bit different from the card game. Your deck is populated with weaker monsters that you play together to make stronger cards (somewhat like fusion, but without fusion cards or the stronger monsters actually being in your deck). These can be hard to figure out, but over time you'll get better at it (some guides are also available online). You also designate a zodiac sign for each card, which can give it an advantage or disadvantage against other cards (so always check your opponents' cards). As you duel you get better cards that fuse into even better things. You can also free-duel against anyone you've beaten in the storyline to get more good cards.

What didn't I like? You have to be Yugi, and I'd rather be Kaiba :) Overall, if you like Yu-Gi-Oh, you'll like this. Especially if you don't have real people around to duel with all the time.

you have gotta get this game

Not very good graphics. But the challenges are hard and it's worth it when you win the duels. I've been playing this game for 3 years and it's still fun.

you know you want this game so GET IT

yugioh forbidden memories for playstation 2 is
awesome if you get the game here are some fusions
nemuriko + bolt pinguin = sorry I forgot but I will get it soon.
(hawina looks like a potato) + key mace = mystical sand (2100 attack)good against wevil underwood (#2 of the tornament)
also if your opponent has a good card and yours is weak put it in defence mode and you will lose no life points but be carful
if you run out of cards it's game over. also SAVE VERY OFTEN
because if you lose you can't start over on the same duel

999,999 star chips!?

Give me a break. I wanted to get a Blue-eyes White Dragon on this game but it costs 999,999 and you only win five star chips per duel(sometimes even less). Also you begin with a very weak deck and you have to play about 1,000,000,000 free duels to get lots of star chips just to buy one card!? I should sue the creators of this game. Take my advice and do not buy this game. Instead buy "Stairway to the Destined Duel" or "Dungeon Dice Monsters" or something other than this that is actually worth $30.00! The only good thing about this game is that you can make fusions with monsters that don't create actual card fusions from the collectable card game.
