My six year old twins play the game together taking it in turns to work through clues and solve the puzzles. great fun - especially when I say "stop that will never work", and find that I am totally wrong and it does.
Good value at the price. The graphics are good - the levels are not too long and working through the levels and itemizing the goons is fun. Some of the levels take some though ( but you can buy help - if your children haven't spent all the money I hunting for treasure.
Other games on the Wii that I have that they love are Carnival Games & Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree & Wii Play with Wii Remote They also like the boxing and bowling on the sport.

At first I thought this was just a game for the kids, because of the graphics, but it turned out to be quite tough. Most of the levels have more than one way to do it and you have to figure out how to use each of your tools in each situation alittle differently. Over all a great game. It's one of those games that you actually have to think and plan rather than hack n slash.
My favorite Wii game so far

For Christmas I got the Wii for my family along with several games. Zack & Wiki was one I purchased based on the reviews I saw and it has met my expectations. The reviews I saw mentioned that this game reminded them of the old Sierra adventure games such as Monkey Island, Sam and Max, and Day of the Tentacle. These are all games I enjoyed and I hoped this would fit in. Zack & Wiki clearly fits in with this type of adventure game. Each level provides a new challenge to overcome, and the puzzles get harder and harder to figure out. I got stuck on a few levels and cheated and looked at some walkthroughs. I put several hours of playing time into this and enjoyed every minute. Now that I'm done I can go back and redo the levels and find more treasures and try to get more points.
The game also takes good advantage of the Wii remote, but note that this is not a game that requires quick reflexes. The game is more of an adventure game with a good story line. My 11-year old son has also enjoyed the game. All ages should enjoy this game, except for the very young. This is a good game to add to your collection of Wii software. I highly recommend it.
One word AWESOME!

This game is quite awesome. for those of us who have enjoyed Sam and Max, Monkey Island, Touche' and other excellent Lucas Arts-ish point and click games....You are in for a great gaming experience!
I've never thought of it before but the Wii is the perfect platform for Point and click. The Wii Remote is used in many interesting ways in this game. This is not simply a wave the controller like nuts "motion mushing" type of game no, no! The Wii remote is very calibrated in this game meaning everything works like it suppose too! The controls are the most responsive in that of any Wii game I've seen so far.
Don't judge a book my its cover...Or in this case a game.
Zach and Wiki is a puzzling, quite lengthly, challenging, awesomely fun game for all ages. And for 30$ you really don't have much to lose.
Happy gaming!

I can't say enough about this game! And it's one of the more inexpensive games out there. Challenging puzzles, cute and funny characters, unique and creative storylines-- That's what Zack and Wiki is all about! Plus, this game makes GREAT use of the Wii Remote-- something that other games have struggled to do. Warning for the parents out there-- although this game is rated E and there is really nothing to report except maybe a little cartoon violence, the ending is somewhat sad and I had 2 inconscolable kids who had a hard time getting over it after being so involved in the game. I however, found the ending to be unique and extremely cool.
Super Fun!

You have to stick through the very long and somewhat annoying introduction to this game to get to the good stuff. But once you're there, it is quite challenging to figure out how to do everything. I admit that the kids will sometimes look for cheats on the internet to solve some of the tougher levels, but usually they are able to figure most of it out through trial and error. Surprisingly, we have found this game to be fun with several of us talking through what to do even though only one player moves the characters around. We have problem solved as a family which has made this game highly interactive and enjoyable! It's a winner!

I had wanted a wii for a while, but when I had the chance to play Zack & Wiki on my brother's, I was hooked. It's such a great game! You'll wake up at 2:00 in the morning having finally figured out how to make it through the level you've been working on for hours. You really need to think and it uses the wii remote in a very intuitive way. I'm close to beating the game, and almost don't want to because I don't want it to end.
I love this game because it is so fun to play, and even more because it was the deciding factor in me purchasing my wii (which brought me some other great games like Mario Galaxy). I highly recommend this - especially if you are like me and suck at the 3-D PS games where I can't stop running into walls, let alone figure out what I'm supposed to be doing...
fun, but frustrating controls at times

The game is entertaining and clever. I often find myself stuck in a level for a long time, giving in and searching for help online, and realizing that I would never have figured that out without help. It's definitely challenging. There's a lot of gameplay here... many, many hours. The humor and writing aren't terrible either.
There are a couple aspects of this game that are particularly frustrating. The controls aren't amazing responsive, this becomes a big issue later in the game (especially swordfights) and in the musical mini-games (which sometimes seem to be offbeat to the music playing, but as a musician/percussionist, I'm never happy with the accuracy of music based games).
Like Sierra / LucasArts Adventures (if you're old enough to remember!)

Fantastic game. Uses the Wii remote in the best fashion possible -- makes you get into the game a lot more.
Almost a perfect adventure game. If you like the Space Quest, Indiana Jones style games, this fits in there.
There is now a FLASH DEMO on the web that you can play to see if you'll like the game.

I adore Wii. I use the Tennis feature on a regular basis to enhance my exercise regime. By getting lost in the game, I can work up a sweat, and I love deciphering how to improve my skills. So, when I broke my leg, I decided to buy a software that would engage my mind and love of puzzles as an added distraction. Sadly, Zack & Wiki are a great disappointment to me. Now, it might have something to do with my being 60, but I dearly loved Myst and rarely resorted to "cheat notes". With Zack and Wiki, I've constantly resorted to "cheat notes", because the game dissolves so fast when you make a mistake, that there's little chance of learning from those mistakes. I would absolutely encourage Wii software developers to work on puzzle games because I'd love to find one that "thinks" more like I do. I'll bet that as Wii is discovered by broader segments of the market, others will feel the same way.
