All in all, pretty good.

When I ordered this product I had mixed feelings. I have been a fan of the star fox series since I was a kid, and didn't know if i could even get back into the groove of playing a 64 game again. The condition was kinda questionable. It looked like some kid had been keeping it in a box with old barbies collecting dust, with old torn off stickers on it and everything. But all in all i was pretty happy when I got, the learning curve wasn't all that bad and the game played great.

An amazing game that is still fun to this day.

I spent hours and hours as a kid playing this game. I've beaten it more times than I can count on every possible way through the storyline. Sometimes I still go back to it and it is still awesome to this day. I think most people knew this game would be a classic forever when they first played it.

The graphics set the bar for Nintendo 64, just as its predecessor did for the Super Nintendo. There's tons of enemies on screen, as well as allies occasionally with no slowdown at all. There's a bunch of things happening as well, buildings falling down, explosions, and more, all once again without slowdown. The environments are very well done for the time, and while it doesn't really hold up to today's standards, they at least bring back some nostalgia.

The sound is pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Although it might be the only Nintendo game ever to have voice acting. Falco was voiced to be kind of the cool rogue guy, while Peppy was sort of your replacement father, and Slippy was just annoying.

Game play is where this game truly shines. There's the single player, which is sort of short but loads of fun, and the multi player. Multi player is sort of average, not bad, but nothing special either, it got kind of boring relatively fast. The single player, as I stated before is very short. While it may be short, it is very action packed, and mixes it up by letting you drive a tank. Both the tank and the jet-plane thing control very well. The storyline is very re-playable and offers different ways to complete it. The level design is fantastic, the bosses are fun and creative, and you never get bored from a lack of enemies. The difficulty is just right in my opinion.

If you have a Nintendo 64, or I think its available on Wii VC now, you must own this game. Its one of the best games from the Nintendo 64, and is one of my favorite games ever. Its literally nonstop fun that I can still come back to years later and have fun.

I really have a lot of reasons to thank this game since it inspired me to want to become a game developer one day and for what ideas I already have lined up. This is one of the best sci-fi adventures ever created in gaming and it still retains it mastery of sci-fi adventures. Your enemies are more intelligent than in the previous SNES Starfox and the graphics are far more detailed than in the original. The voice-acting is actually good which gives the game an authentic feel than it already has in science-fiction. The explosions and all the other action is splendid and lucious in how good it really good it is. The missions are still exciting and lots fun and still compete with today's games. I love this game and nothing will ever change such a thing.

Very well done

I first played this game in 2003 and I've been hooked since. It is not excessively difficult but it is not easy either. Different stages with different vehicles and hidden stages with hidden benefits provides hours of gameplay that will keep you entertained.

like my title says good game but not great game. this game is fun and has good grapchics for the time period it was out it is fun but corny i mean u play as a fox.. it i s also very short u could beat it in like an hour but it has replay value because you can beat it but go on different paths all leading up to andross!!!! so since its outdated and if u have an N64 i would buy it because it is cheap and fun

StarFox 64 is truly one of the greatest games I've ever played. I just want to play it over and over again. The bosses aren't very hard, but so fun to beat. The tank and sub make a nice touch to. No blood, language or gore. (Like anyone wants that...) Truly the greatest aerial shoot em' up I ever played. And since it way out of date (it being 2006) it's really cheap buy it today!

Star Fox 64: One of the Best N64 Games Out There!

In the peaceful system of Lylat, chaos emerges. The evil Andross has declared war upon the planet and its citizens and there's only one team to stop him: Star Fox. Made up of Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, and Peppy Hare, these mercenaries mean business. Throughout their escapade to destroy Andross, they will go to many planets such as Corneria, Fichina, and Zoness, and they will meet up with the evil Star Wolf.

That is the premise of the hit game Star Fox 64 for Nintendo 64. It is a pretty short game despite the wonderful story, but the story does make up for it's length. The multiplayer is a bit cold, with only two stages to play on, but with 4 people, it can bring tons of fun. The sound in this game is wonderful, if you don't include the voice-overs, although, Slippy's voice was the only one that was bad. The laser fire sounds as "sci-fi" as you would want it to.

Through a few androids and evil monkeys, I recommend that anyone with a Nintendo 64 should get this game. Peppy would say one thing here. "Do a barrel roll!" Oh wait, that's not it....

The game Star Fox for n64 is one of the best shooting games ever (and that's saying something). I spend hours trying to beat the level with the huge train. It doesn't have WONDERFUL graphics like most games now but if that doesn't bother you it is an excellent and challenging game with lots of levels to beat.

I may not be as young as some of the players that wrote reviews here, but I played the original StarFox for SNES as a kid. At the time, the "FX" chip was marketing hype for some new 3D technology. Nonetheless, it has become a classic at my home. My dad was hooked on StarFox since the beginning!

I bought some old N64 games and a N64 system about 2 years ago and starFox 64 was one of the games. Naturally, I'm hooked. The graphics are fairly pre-21st century but its a very natural progression for StarFox SNES.

Thd 3D graphics are colorful and saturated. There is also voice acting and some interesting levels.

I missed the original "Twin Blaster" and "Wing Damage" voice effects. The new music also sounds rather corny, as are the villains.

A Nintendo classic

This is a great game with large levels that vary from super difficult that will satisfy advanced players to easy levels ideal for begginers. The vehicles in this game are a space fighter called the Arwing a tank called the Land Master and a submarine called the Blue Marine. This adds a great deal of depth and replay value. How ever no game is perfect and this is no exeption as the multiplayer mode just doesnt cut it but thats ok as the single player is so awesome you probably wont mind the so-so multiplayer. All in all a great choice for N64 owners.
