The Samurai Shodown series returns to the Neo Geo pocket, and fans of the series won't be disappointed. The arcade experience is present - Smooth controls, distinguished characters, and weapon based fighting. Not only are there a lot of characters to pick from in this game, there are several new faces, in addition to familiar favorites. Replayability is high, since new special moves are aquired though "cards", which are earned after certain gameplay requirements are met. These "cards" can also be traded between friends via a link cable, adding to the fun. If you are looking for an excellent fighter on the Neo pocket, look no further than Samurai Shodown 2!

I haven't been this hooked on a game since Street Fighter 2 had me pushing coins into it's arcade console. This is incredible for a handheld machine, this is the sort of game you compare to Gameboy fighting games and just laugh. The characters are great, each having 2 different styles, the visuals are beutiful and the replay value value is unprecedented in a handheld game. You can collect cards by completeing the game or by achieving good fights, the cards improve the characters or unlock special moves. I am still trying to collect all the cards now and I have had the game months.

Simply the BEST handheld fighter... EVER.

This game is the number one reason to own a neogeo pocket. The graphics are totally astounding, and the "card collecting" system adds alot to the replay value. I have had this game only one day and the "time-played" indicator on the options screen reads 8 and a half hours. To put it this way- I bought it expecting a good game. What I recieved was the best fighting game EVER on ANY handheld console.

Great animation, stellar control, and ALL the characters!

Samurai Showdown is a sound fighting game. This version is very faithful to the arcade version, despite being pocket size. The Action is clean, smooth, and fun. The animation is top notch, as is the character design. The control is dead on. Point- THIS IS THE ONE! Make no mistake about it.

This is an AWESOME game!

When i first heard about NEO GEO pocket, i was really excited, but didn't know what game to get. After deciding to get Samurai Shodown 2, i was not dissapointed. The second i got the game in the mail i popped it in and was immediatly amazed at the awesome graphics, great characters, and overall gameplay. The music is great also! There is pretty much nothing wrong with this game, except that you can't pick up from where you left off. The card collecting aspect is genius, adding tons of replay value to this already great game. Overall, I would highly reccomend this game to any fighting game fan, or any gamer in general. The End.
