Having enjoyed the VeggieTale videos for years, I had expected that a video game licensed by the same company would be of similar quality. Sadly, that is not the case. I gave this game today to my seven year old son and he quickly became frustrated with the dodgy controls, time limit, and overall poor game play. Perhaps ten years age this would have been seen as a cutting edge game. However, this game has the appearance of a project thrown together over a weekend by a group of not overly skilled junior programmers. P.S. Dear Big Idea, in order to get people to learn from your game as they play, you need to make a game that people will, in fact, want to play.

My son (who is 5) loves everything Veggietale. Buying him anything Veggie related and he's going to be happy. He also really loves to play video games; this seemed like the perfect fit. He played this game for about 20 minutes and turned it off. I've tried several times to get him interested in picking it back up with no luck. I then played it to see if I could get some interest from him...no luck. When a 5 year old Veggie lover doesn't want to play, there is something seriously wrong with this game.

Larry Boy and the Bad Apple is without a doubt one of the worst games I've ever played. Everything about this game is horribly flawed to vast extent, and it will only leave you wanting to take Larry Boy, strap him down, and chop him up with a butcher knife in your kitchen. The storyline is not explained well during the game so I can only probably give a vague description; Larry Boy is trying to find an evil apple and stop his evil deeds... that's all I was able to locate in this horrible game. The controls don't function properly nearly the whole time and will leave will leave you pissed off when Larry Boy can't make a jump or kill anything! your missions are incredibly bland, boring, distasteful, uneventful, and unexciting. Yay! The objectives are very poorly explained and at times I found myself lost and confused as to what I was supposed to do in this s***ty game. Plus, this game has no Christian messages stored in it or any life lessons on why not to be a sinner. This game serves as yet another example of why the Bible shouldn't be made into a game because of how horrible the results are. You're much better off taking your kids to a priest and have the priest scream at them: "The power of Christ compells you, you horrible sinner!" The only good thing about this f***ing awful game is the graphics because everything else just s***ty, crappy, f***ing awful, and from hell. One thing I beg of is, PLEASE CRAVE! STOP TRYING TO MAKE GAMES FROM THE BIBLE! THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS! THE BIBLE GAME AND THIS LARRY BOY GAME ARE TERRIBLE! SO JUST STOP TRYING PLEASE! AND PRAISE GOD I'M GETTING RESIDENT EVIL 1, 2, 3, SURVIVOR, AND GAIDEN TO ACTUALLY CHEER ME UP FROM THIS HORRIBLE MESS AT CHRISTMAS!

I bought this game thinking this game is going to be a platform game. This game has time trials in most of the game. My favorite world is the Four Seasons Hotel. The graphics were not as good as most of my games, the levels were short that you may finish this game in one week. This game may be better for younger players

Wow, I was super disappointed with this game. I have always loved Veggie Tales and enjoyed putting it infront of my preschooler. This Christmas she got a GameBoy Advance SP and this game seemed like a great idea. After all, Veggie Tales is geared for a younger audiance. WRONG!
This game is frustrating even for adults who are serious gamers. You have to sit through demos on each level or you miss key sequences. The game is run on an impossible timer for anyone under the age of 12. Its set up like the old time Mario's where you jump from platform to platform, except their are ridiculious expectations. Characters that give you 10 seconds to get across the screen and then three floors up, some that if you are injured by them they reverse ALL the controls.
There is no educational value, no traditional Veggie Tale Christian message, no hand eye coordiniation (possible for a pre-schooler), no memory required. I guess the only thing I can teach my 4 year old using this game is how to control your temper when you are frustrated.
I am very disappointed with Big Idea and Veggie Tales... I'd suggest they not bother to put another game out because NO ONE is going to buy it. If you are looking for a real game try Pokemon.

My Autistic son enjoys VeggieTales very much, but this has kept his interest even when going for very long drives over the holiday (as in 3-4 hours). He got a bit frustrated at first, but didn't take him long to become familiar with the game and really enjoy it.
