An Innovative and Enthralling Game Expirience

This game adds new innovation to the GBA. Nintendo has pulled off a winner by creating a game revolving around a simple but new concept, using only the L and R buttons. It presents a new challenge to veteran gamers in that you can only do things by swinging from peg to peg on the screen. It also offers a unique game expirience for new comers to the game world. I am sad to see that one mother has ruined the good rating that this game should have only because her son wasn't up to something like this and how can it use "too many buttons". Is using two buttons too hard for your youngster. Maybe he should stick to one button games.
unique experience and a good change of pace

My 7 year old son REALLY likes this game. He likes
the unique use of the L and R button, "the tricks you can do", and he liked how they explained HOW to use the game. In all he said it was a "really great game" He did say however, that you had to be an "experienced" player. (Now, at 7, my son hasn't played since birth, nor is he allowed to play whenever he wants as we've seen some kids do.) So figure some game play experience would be helpful.
With NEW games, I always check the game out myself first, (yes, I actually play the game in the store or ask if I can) and I read reviews and do the research. If either of these options are not available to me I WAIT until there is more information.
Forget the Good ol' days of the original DK

My husband and I purchased this game for our sons 6th b-day. Game says for ages 6 and over...well, the game is too difficult for him to play. You need to use too many controls on GBA at once to move DK. He can play DK Coutry 3 with ease. My 11y.old son has a hard time with it also. If your expecting it to be like the good old DK, forget it!! They should change the age for maybe, 13 and over? Try renting first before investing. :)

What can I say Except Donkey Kong is in my family's blood. All 3 of my girls love it.My husband and I compete w/ it,We have every DK Game except for the Nintendo 64 and game cube 1 Oh yeah and the Wii,but we will.
The reason I like this one is cuz you only use the top 2 shoulder buttons ,I mean how easy is that? Also it's great training for when you graduate to DK Jungle Climber for the DS.
That being said I am so stuck on the 50% level of the DS game.Does anyone have any tips? It's the Boss that pounds her fists down.PLEAZZZZZE Help!!!!
My 10 year old daughter and I played donkey kong tonight for 4 hours,Now talk about some Mom and daughter bonding. We played Donkey Kong Country 1 and 3,and had a blast.
