Great for kids

My 7 year old loved this game. It was a perfect balance of action and problem solving. He learned about some new places and enjoyed the variety of game play. It's not for the serious teen/adult gamer as they will find it too easy to complete and the graphics are a little behind the latest generation games. At a price of under $20 it is definately worth it.

Awesome

This game is truly awesome. I got a chance to play the European version and I was just as hooked as I was to the original PC versions. It's along the lines of Tomb Raider with the movements and thinking that must be done to get to higher levels. I definitely recommend CS to true gamers who like to get really involved with a challenge. So parents don't buy it to teach your kids a geography lesson!

Too Easy!!

I pre-ordered this game thinking that it may not be just a kids' game. I was wrong. I beat it in like 3 or 4 hours. The objectives are just too simple, and the bosses are a joke. I only recommend it for kids under 12.

Bright New Direction For The Greatest Educational Game

Before I played "real" games, I played educational games, and Carmen Sandiego (CS!!! LOL)was the king. While I haven't played the new ones by The Learning Company, I have played the moderately new ones, like Where in Time. My point is, I guess now BAM(the company developing the game) thought that this series could easily be turned into a real game, and I agree. A young woman who is a theif and the boss of a whole crime organization. Then there's ACME, dedicated to stopping her. The bad thing is that BAM will probably screw up on this attempt, but it will still be interesting.

Eagerly Awaiting!

Yeah, it sounds stupid to review before it comes out, but really, Carmen Sandeigo is going to be a cool game. I've always used the computer games as my "educational television with out watching television" so a more advanced version would be cool. So yeah. 8)

Flop for Carmen Sandiego

I loved Carmen Sandiego when I was little. I would play those computer games over and over, I even watched the show. But Carmen has always had this educational aura around it, and when they made it into this adventure game, it lost that aura and became a kind of low class adventure game. They tried to make it educational by telling you about the exotic location your pummeling bad guys in, but it's one of those push-buttons-until-that-stupid-window-disappears kinda thing. Still, I couldn't give it one star just for the chance to see that elegant, uncatchable, mistress of crime once again.
