Doesn't get any better....

Only the powerhouse known as Sega would have the guts to make a game like this. It's one of the most fun and original games I have ever played. I couldn't see any other company, including Sony, making a game of this caliber. It may not have a plethora of options, but it's got it where it counts....the fun factor. Now that Sega will be making games for other consoles, titles like this will get the attention they deserve. Keep them coming Sega!

This game is lots of fun but can get boring after a while. The drivers will suit everyone. Every thing is real like dennys texeco and pizza hut.

Too Short

The game is way too short, I beat it in an hour. There are only four levels, and after you are used to them they can be beaten in minutes. The parking portion of the game is better than the arcade portion. I haven't played the multiplayer part yet, but dont buy the game because it is too short, worth renting though.

Played the Japanese Version

Given that the Japanese version features all English voices, text, etc., I'm guessing the localization effort won't have to be too intense. So why on Earth has it taken them so long to bring it here? Heaven knows. While fun, "18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker" gets repetitive and frustrating fairly quickly. The races are much too short--I mean, come on, from LA to New York in like 5 minutes of game time?--and the path branching feels like a token effort, as you'll inevitably have to go one way in particular to have any hope of winning the race.

Of course, this title is pretty faithful to the arcade version, frame-rates are high, sound is crisp, etc. etc. You'll like it as much as you liked the arcade game, that much is for certain.
