Knock out!

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 20 / 21

I have never been much of a boxing fan, but this game is really impressive. I have never seen such great character development in any game! The characters are incredibly expressive and hysterical. They react to each other differently, depending on their personal histories with each other. They speak their native languages or have genuine accents (unlike many games where they all speak English or Japanese- regardless of where they are supposed to be from). The richness of the characters and their fighting styles makes the game so much fun to play.

It is not very easy to pick up. You really have to practice to do well, but there is gym at which you can train your fighters. How cool is that! The characters even have their own lockers. I have forgotten how frustrating and rewarding skill development can be. This game is enjoyable on so many levels that I cannot recommend it enough. Go ahead, knock yourself out!

Vast Improvement

Ready 2 Rumble " is a vast improvement on the first. The graphics are amaazing and i thought that they wouldn't be able to improve on the first but they have. The game is great escpecially with the extra charaters that are available, and i like the concept of the triple rumble bar, which when it is full you are able to knock your opponemt out of the ring. Congratulations to the makers on a sucessfull sequel

200% Better than round 1

Just got this game yesterday, and it ROCKS!! I can't believe how much better it is than the first one, which was pretty good in its own right. The gameplay is better, the taunts are funnier, and the boxing is awesome. The only problem I found is that there isn't a way to enter cheat codes to unlock players.

Fun and funny, for awhile.

I bought this game for my cousins. I really thought it was a bit too silly for my tastes. They'd give it 5 stars, I'll take one away because of my thoughts on the game.

First, my cousins perspectives. A barrel of laughs and a whole lot of fun. They both will sit down in front of the TV for hours playing this game, just beating the stink out of each other until they have to go. They don't care for Michael Buffer, but they do enjoy the boxer comments.

Second, my perspective. It's just a button masher to me. I'm sure there's technique there, I just don't have the desire to discover it beyond some minor experimentation. The game has excellent graphics and sound, it just seems to get old fast. You circle around and punch. Once the intial novelty of the graphics and humour dissipate you're left with repetative gameplay. Saving grace to this is the multiplayer. Adding friends and family as opponents instead of the AI is a blast.

After a short period of time, you'll be skipping everything just to get to the fight. So if you don't have friends and family to play with or against, it's just an arcade boxing game that probably won't hold your interest for long.

This is a must-own for Ready 2 Rumble fans. I played this game at the E3 convention this year, and it was amazing. The graphics are astounding, and it has great multiplayer functions too.

Boring and tedious

The graphics are very good and the game is fun to play for a couple of matches, but after that it gets really boring. It's just the same old button mashing every round, and not that that's necessarily a bad thing but with this game it gets so dull. Also, the game designers tried too hard to make the characters very "wacky" and the result is that most of the characters and humor in this game is just plain stupid (but not even in a funny way). In closing, I'll say this game is overrated, and I don't understand how people can find it so fun. It's worth a rental, but little else. I played my copy only twice before reselling it.

Not much different then the first one

Except of coarse you can unlock secret players(shaq, M.jackson, Bill and Hilliary Clinton) through winning in arcade mode, the game play is the same as the first one, the championship mode is very differnt, altough I would have prefered that you could be able to defend your title after winning it. a minus is that the credits play after you win in championship and arcade mods, they are extremely long!! this gets cumbersome when your tring to unlock secret players.

Over all it's an ok game, kinda funny and cute, if you have some one to play it with I believ you'll get more satisfaction from it.

Boxing minus fun and origionality

This game is tedious and boring. You use the same dumb tricks to beat different characters in lame looking arenas.

Avoid Ready 2 Rumble 2. I love sport games but this just sucked.

Why do I have to give it a star....c'mon Amazon put a minus feature in place for game like this

A fun boxing game

This game is great. It's not too serious, and concentrates more on the showboating (fun) side of the sport. Tons of characters can be accessed after finishing the Arcade Mode a few times. What I didn't like was the looooong (and noisy) loading times. If you're patient though, you'll really enjoy it

The best game ever

I own this game and this is the most fun game you will ever play. It may seem hard at first but after a while you get the hang of it and after that it is so fun. The most coolest fart of the game is when you fight the champ RUMBLEMAN. Michael Buffer says"Now the one you all have been waiting for, Rumbleman!" That is wh I rate this a perfect five star game.
