I didnt no wat to think when i bought this because of spawns bad video game seen before. This game is from tha arcade and is better then its original. Multi player is awesome to bad no online. those who have the aracde stick get this. variety of characters 100's of weapons this is up with quake 3 arena and unreal tournament. Graphics are as good as quake and unreal but charcater sight is in a sky view which makes it looks not as good but it is.

Absolutely brilliant (At first)

This game is absolutely brilliant at first: the splendid graphics , the plethora of weapons at your disposal, the genius level layout, the more than abundant gore but the fun gradually fades away after about 6 or 7 hours of playing it. Do not get me wrong, this one of the best if not best spawn based games available right now but nothing can negate the fact that it just becomes a bit tedious after you have unlocked most of its characters and galleries. If it was not for this I would give this game a five star rating, albeit if you can find this game at a bargain price, like 10 US Dollars, I would highly recommend buying it.

Multiplayer fun WITHOUT the difficult fps controls

On most current games like Unreal 2 for Xbox, you have to control the aiming manually. But with this Spawn game for Dreamcast, it has automatic lock-on aiming, and the sword and axe weapons do not require you to aim.

So it's very easy to control your characters movement, and it's not frustrating.

There are over 30 characters taken from the comicbook. And most of them look great in 3D graphics.

I think this is one of the top 5 games made for the Dreamcast. Although the Dreamcast certainly had more than 20 games that were A+ quality.

I sold my Dreamcast a while back, a long while back and now regret it. I cant stop wanting to play this game. Dang i wish i could play it on my Xbox. The controller is prefect for the game. I still remember the filling and the squills of my Friends as i jump down behind them as Dark ages spawn. They new they where dead. or when my cousen missed a shot with twitch and found a tremer fist in his face. OH YES I REMEMBER i guess i will have to buy a dream cast agian just for the game.

This game is the best game on dreamcast. You have an uncountable amount of hidden characters that you can only unlock by beating the boss mode with different characters each time. Sometimes you get 2 new characters, 1 new character, or, unfortunatly none. You can play for hours without putting down your controllers. I couldn't.

Remove the trash...please!

I enjoy action games a lot, but this one will frustrate you more than anything. I truly think that the only reason anyone is giving it positive reviews is because they hope to dupe you into suffering the same as they are. The game is utterly revolting. You will notice that if you play single-player boss battles, you will be given an option to play with a CPU partner. Not bad, unless they have terrible AI. I literally shook my head in laughter as my partner run off the cliffs versus the last boss, not just once, but continually...The only way to stop him was the power button. Which reminds me, a lack of going back in menus, if you choose one mode the only way to get to the main menu again is that lovely power button. Also must get use to the fact you will die a lot and I do mean a lot. A boss can kill you will one or two hits. Guns are a little too powerfully, you will find yourself getting stuck in a barrage of bullets that will stun you and push you away from the shooter. And of course by time you get back up and your hit again with more bullets...lovely. Speaking of guns, what the hell are they doing in a battle between heaven and hell? Spawn with all his glorious undead powers is stuck with a machine gun. How sad. Camera is yucky to some I've played with, but it really isn't all that bad. Before you buy, RENT IT! Really rent it!

Some great graphics, mounds of gore, and an almost un countable amount of hidden characters make Spawn a great game. If you like the all out shoot-em-up games then you will love this one. If your into the DOA's or the Tekken then you might not like this, but if you like violence and battle then not many games give you the fast action as Spawn: in the devils hand.

FINALLY A GOOD SPAWN GAME!

After many failed attemptes to a good spawn game finally capcom steped in. This is agreat shoot-um-up, action packed blood bath. Easy controls, five modes of play, and lots and lots of secret charichters just add to the fun. There are some minor camera problems, but is deffinatlly worth buying. So stop reading and buy it now!

Spawn: not as good as it could have been.

The first time you boot up this game in your Dreamcast you are going to be impressed. This game looks great but doesn't play very well. The concept is along the lines of a deathmatch. You choose a mode of play; team play, boss attack or deathmatch, then pick a character and level. Gameplay consists of running around wonderfully designed levels shooting, blowing up, and slicing apart your oponents. All of the popular characters from the comic book are here, and some of the levels might be familiar to a few fans too.

The graphics are absolutly mind blowing. Some of the best graphics I have seen on the Dreamcast to date. The characters are highly detailed and the level design is wonderful. After you pick your jaw off the ground and grab the controler to start playing things begin to go down hill. The controls for this game are not very user friendly at all, and the camera angles are going to frustrate just about everyone who plays it. You aim with the analog stick and move with the digital pad, all while using the buttons to jump and change weapons. If we all had three hands it might work but for those of us with only two, it is very frustrating.

Overall the game is alright, wonderful graphics but horible controls. Single player can get a bit old fast but this game is a lot of fun with someone to spar off against. I would only advise the die hard spawn fans to buy it, the rest of you casual gamers might want to rent it first. Spawn is not a must have for the Dreamcast.

Don't sleep on this Sleeper Hit (with very few misses..)

After previous "attempts" from other game companies to produce a decent game based on todd mc farlane's #1 Son, In comes the venerable CAPCOM That finally does the game some justice.

in spawn, you have been picked by arch demon malbolgia to fight with and against warriors to the death, in a shootout free-for-all.

the gameplay is somewhat remeniscent of Quake arena meets power stone with an Arcade approach (which the game was originally ported from the arcades.) the game starts you off with 12 stock charcters, which you can unlock an additional 24 each with their own special abilities, strengths and weaknesses.

the graphics are gorgoues with multi staged arenas from atop new york sky scrapers, to the burning pits of hell. (not to mention the many hidden weapon and power ups within) all in excellent resolution and frame rate too bad it lacks online compatability.. oh wellz.

i was in awe of the intro along with the chessy metal song "rip it up" it is the best intro since Dead or Alive 2.

I strongly recommend that DC owners who like a lil' hardcore action on SEGA'S 128 Bit box (or those who are impatiently awaiting QUAKE, and need their FRAG FIX sooner) to order this "Killa" from capcom.
