This is a great game for the first 3 months, then you get bored.
I really liked it at first, it is exciting, making animals, and taking care of them, but it takes forever to build a really good zoo, and then when you have one, there's not much left to do after you have gotten 10,000,000 and you have 20 of everything, and it's dull starting a new one.

I had watched for this game to come out, planning on buying it, and I am so glad I did! I never played the first version, but I know that this is a great game. You can make any kind of zoo: desert, city, forest, anything! And with all the little concession stands and landscape brush, you can really get creative with this. I made a Sherwood Forest zoo, a New York City zoo, and Jerusalem zoo, among many others. That alone should show you the wide range of stuff you can do. Two more things: the camera and photo album is so cool, and I love how you can walk around your own zoo in guest mode. Anyways, yeah, I love it!
p.s. It's kinda like Age of Empires, which I love too, in that you create a little "world."

i love this game!!!!i got it for Christmas of 2004 and couldnt play it on my moms computer(not enough RAM or something like that).it didnt work on my stepsisters computer,either.But,YAY!It worked on my stepdad's Laptop!!i played it,and a few weeks later,we got a new "kids" computer!!it was a new thing you put the cd in(actual computer,new fact to wow you)and my mom's old moniter(thing you see the game on and see this review on).unfortunetly,the game takes FOREVER to load up a huge,5 star zoo.But all in all,PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved the game. It was so much fun taking care of the animals. Taking pictures in Camera Mode was fun. The interactions the animal gave were so real. It isn't a surprise that it already won awards. The graphics also blown me away. Using unlimited budget in free form was also a great option. Zoo Guest Mode also gave a feeling of what a guest would feel when you're in the zoo. One disappointing thing was the lack of animals. This game is not too easy and not too hard. First download the Zoo Tycoon 2 trial at Microsoft. This is a great game for Zoo Tycoon fans.

As my heading states, I DO like the new Zoo Tycoon 2 game, and I was a great fan of the first one. However, I am an adult woman and find this new game to be a little too "kid-friendly" for me. I feel at this point that there should have been two new games, one for kids and one for adults. Some of the graphics are starting to look a little cartoonish to me, something I never thought with the first one. Also, why do we start off with only three animals, and silly ones at that? Makes no sense to me, since anyone playing this game surely has played the first game and already knows how to play it. I am disappointed also that there is no marine pack and dinosaur pack, because I loved the marine parks I created and sorely miss them. I hope expansion packs take care of all of this, and I also hope we can see more objects like roller coasters, hot air balloons, a jungle safari ride which would be awesome, and more objects for an amusement-park theme.

Zoo tycoon 2 is A great game! Graphics are awsome and the option of being able to feed and clean your animals is cool!
I do like the Zoo tycoon Complete Collection better only because it has so many more animals including dinos and marine animals, but this game is still very fun! This game has far more pros then cons and is diffently worth the money!! I made a list of some pros and cons.

Pros
1. Its got great graphics
2. Its really easy and quick to install
3. Its not hard to learn how play
4. It can be as challenging as you want it to be depending on the options you choose.

Cons
1. I wish it had more animals

There is diffently more pros then cons! I'v played a lot of tycoon games (they are my favorit) and by far this is the best tycoon game ever I diffently recommend this game and if not this one try Zoo tycoon Complete collection that one is great too!!!

Yes the graphics of Zoo Tycoon2 are awesome but my Daughter and I still like the 1st one the best. We have the expansion kit with the Dinasaur Digs and Marine Mania so we like the animal choices.

This game is so cool! You get to build a zoo from all across the world, City Zoos, African Zoos, Wetland Zoos, WHEREEVER. The animal spand ranges from about 30 different animals, there are tigers, bears, penguins, flamingo's, and much more. You can take care of the animals, too! You may need a good computer to play this game, though.
