I have gone to the main website and have seen some animated trailers from the U.K. site. This game looks to be a good time and very entertaining. I have preordered it and would suggest the same for others who like to create virtual realities...

Looks cool but....

This game looked great on the box and that is all I got out of it.Due yourself a favor and check to make sure your system can handle a game of this high speed and graphics.Called the game company waste of time then checked with my computer manufactor another waste of time.If you think you got a old system then stay away from this game unless your looking to waste a day trying to install and it will never happen.

Very good concept...

This is a great game, with a great concept and fun graphics. Unfortunately, the game shudders every two minutes of gameplay so I am forced to change the screen resolution of the game. This happens on my brand new laptop, while on my home computer it works perfectly.

Not my type..

Pros and cons of the game...

Pros:

*Great plot,U have to become the best chef and beat the evil omni food empire.
*Quite fun since u are able to join cooking competitions
*U feel a sense of sastification when u watch people dine in ur restaurant.

CONS:
*GRaphics are a boo-boo,the graphics was blur
*There aren't there many furniture to choose from unlike the sims.
*VEry limited control-all u do is watch ur customers eat.At first,u will feell very sastified....but after a while u become very bored.U just wait for people to enter the restaurant and buy recipes from them.

I really wouldn't recommend this game beacuse i had very limited control over the restaurant.....All i did was sit and watch the customers dine.....Now how much of a game is that?!I got sick and tired of it after two days of playing.

Great Music--Fun Game

I loved the music for this game and the 20 bucks i spent on this thing when i bought a few years ago was well spent. Its the oldest game for my computer that i still play, probably because there are no sequels, but i burnt the music to a cd and can listen to it in my car. For the 3.50 the game is going at now you might as well just buy it to try it, then again you have to factor in shipping cost, but all in all a great game especially for under ten dollars.

Not another Sim...!!!

... But I bought this game after playing it at a demo on a PC Games Shop. And it was fun... First rate fun. It's like playing Sim City but a little more fun. If you think this is a Sim clone, well maybe, but take my word for it. It's the best fun I had for the past 3 days.. A game you can just leave on and let your Paradise Resort Island come alive....

so much fun

I really enjoyed this game, I got hooked! The game itself is so much fun, trying to build up the island and please tourists. Also, it is fun to live vicariously through the computer players that are enjoying the beaches, clubs, bars, and fun things that happen on a spring break. The combination of the competition and the thrill of jumping into a paradise is incredible. Plus, great graphics and easy to use features.

Still a great game despite its age

I purchased the Beach Life version (identical as far as I can tell) when it was still brand new and am still enjoying it today. It is a welcome break over the near monopoly that Maxis/EA has over the Simulation genre with the Sims and Sim City series.

While the graphics are par for what was released around that time, it was the gameplay that kept me hooked. Sure it had its faults, but with a small learning curve, I was building resorts like a pro in no time. I personally don't like sim games that you can breeze straight through and a couple of the scenarios did have me retrying them a few times before finally passing them.

The music in the game is pretty good for the game, mimicking something you may here in Cancun or Ibiza, changing tempos between daylight and nighttime hours. And the sound effects are a nice touch as well from the vomiting of drunk guests and splashing at the pool to the sizzle of burgers on the beach grill.
