Way to go Midway!

The suffering is by the best game Ive played in 2004 so far.
When I first read bout it I just knew I needed to have it.
When sliped the cd in my ps2 I kina had doublt BUT I WAS WRONG
This game is awsome. The story is great and the game is just flat out fun! There is so much gore in this game that the main character is covered in it! The language is too much that its ridiculus but that didnt bother me.
The graphics are simply awsome. The best gun is the dual revolvers. This game truly makes Resident evil zero and silent hill 3 look like a bunch of kiddie games made from disney........Ok maybe not but This game rocks! The fun factor is very HIGH and you wont be dissapointed. Trust me.
Midway Did a great job making this game.......This game should definily beat True crimes for action game of the year.

The suffering is an awesome game! It has a good story, simple controls, and it is a good 3rd person shooter. The best parts are the weapons are cool, the monsters are freaky, and the levels are pretty straight-forward, no back-tracking searching for irrelevant stuff. The only bad parts are that the game is very short, i beat it in about 2 1/2 hours, and it isn't as scary as Midway says it is. I'm 13 and i didn't get scared playing it, but i had a lot of fun!

Okay most people think of Silent Hill or Resident Evil when somebody says horror. Well this game is not only fun but it tries something new, 1st person and 3rd person viewpoints! And the best part is that you can switch at anytime and neither one is better than the other it is all just preference. Other than that the controls play like socom so its easy to get used to for u fps lovers. my only beef with it was the sometimes frustrating slow moving 1st person reticle...i think this would be an awesome game on pc sure but for now its the best survival horror out there...well technically it is not survival horror more like action horror becuz ur constantly fighting and weapons arent that hard to get.

This game is very awesome. The graphics and the story line are one of the best i have ever seen. The fact that you can switch from A FPS to an TPS is very cool and the alternate ending thing is very good. If your playing The suffering in the dark.... It will scare the crap out of you.It's fun and enjoyable.

this game is my first introduction to PS2 and I am very satisfied with this game. I hope they make a part 2.

What other games are similar to this one? Could this game be compared to manhunt? I'm really into 3rd-person action games

there's nothing really bad about this game at all.

It's really fun and a little scary. I highly suggest it.

I Loved this game! Awesome story line,graphics,everything is sweet!!! The gameplay is dead-on,and the action never ends.If i had to be stranded on an island,and get to take only 1 game with me,it would be this one! (a toss-up between this,and SanAndreas! lol)
How is the Suffering 2? I have not yet played it,and heard allot of mixed reviews about it.

My favorite genre of games are survival horror. This game isn't as good as Silent Hill three. Plus it won't sell good because many parents won't let their kids buy this game. The Suffering is also scary, but not like Silent Hill 3. The graphics aren't great and it's too gory. Their is a lot of pointless gore. They tried to make it like a Grand Theft Auto with more Gore. If you want a better game check out Fatal Frame 2 or Silent Hill 3. These are better games.

Wow, I knew that this game was supposed to be creepy and action packed, but this exceeded all of my expectations!

The prison setting alone is enough to make it really scary, but throwing in voices in the main character's head, insanely twisted monsters and weird happenings...I had to turn the lights back on!

Nice job by Surreal and Midway in putting together a winner...I score this a 9 out of 10.

Hello all my name is Matt and ill help you decide wether too buy this game or not. As you know you are waiting too go to deathrow when all of a sudden something strange happens...this is where you come in. this game has a really creepy feeling too it, like when your outside the prison and its pitch black then suddenly your surrounded by ghosts. this game in my opinion deserves five stars because of the way its atmosphere is, like for one as i mentioned above outside of the prison. i bought this game when it came out and am very pleased with it, midway has pulled of yet another outstanding game.

This game has it all. Great graphics, excellent story plot, cool weapons, and awesome monsters. There is so much creativity in this game. Unique game. Original idea. Beats all other games to a bloody pulp. Period!
