Nice game, lots of fun and cool cars. Neat cartoony graphics. I recommend for ages teen on up. One complaint though..the last mission of the entire game is insanely hard!! Geewhiz it was hard! lol But most of the rest of the game was pretty easy.

gta meets simpsons

This game rocks and i would recomend it to anyone who owns gta3.
it starts off as homer simpson at his house and then u have certain missions to complete and their sorta like gta. Then as u progress u have to be certain characters from the show lik lisa bart marge and even the one gas station dude. overall it is awesome, so buy it!

An Actual good Simpsons game for the Console

If you like Grand Theft Auto III, you will find this game very similar. The Simpsons:Hit and Run has some of the same characteristis of GTA III. You have the freedom to explore the different worlds on each level. There are 7 levels, and you can play as Apu, Homer, Bart, Marge, and Lisa. Some of these Characters you play on more then one level, but they have different places to explore. You also have to freedom to attack things and people, but there are no cop star ratings, like in GTA. Instead, you have a meter for when you hit to much stuff, the cops will come after you untill your meter has ran out of cop time from you enduring them. If they catch you, have to pay 50 coins. You are also able to take cars, but if someone is already in it, you "tell" them where to drive, while you have the power over the car.
When you do missions, you get 5 tries to do the mission. If you fail those 5 tries, you can skip it, or continue trying to do it, like The Simpsons: Road Rage.
The Story behind this game is that Aliens or setting up a reality show on the planet earth, and earthlins dont have a clue, untill the Simpsons get into the means of it. The Story line is very easy to follow, with a few comic twists that only the creator would put in.
The Characters have their on phrases through out the game when you play them, like for Homer "Ouch, my bikini zones chafing!", or Bart's "Cowabunga, Dude!". All the phrases have the personalitly of the character thats saying them.
The Graphics in the game are very good, although some spots in the game get a little bit blocky, nad there sre occasonaly glitches in the game, but hardly, like 2 times every 6 months. The color scheme is good, there is still the yellow skin like in the show or and comic, but you could tell by the graphics that this is based on a cartoon, not to be mean to the game, but thats what I think.
The music is the right style at the right times, and for the right characters, too. For example, Bart has rock music and Lisa has a Jazzy type of music with a Saxophone as the main instrement.
If you dont do cheats on games, you dont need to read this part, but if you do, read this part. When you do cheats on this game, it is good, to do it on a seperate file, like on any of the GTA games. When you do them, it really screws up your conseption of the game, it make it seem like doing cheats on the game is the only way to complete it. When you do the cheats, it makes the game without cheats boring, unfun, and extremely hard with out cheats.
As you know from the comics and the show, there is going to be cuzzing and swearing in the game. That is one of the reasons why it is rated T for teenagers. There is also some violence in the game. If you can handle the crude humor, violence and language of the Simpsons, you'll have no problems with it.
Overall, this is a pretty good game, and it is a good choice if you like the humor of the Simpsons and the game Grand Theft Auto III without all the gore, and violence, and obscene language, this is probaly one of the few perfect games out there for you. This is my advice for you: try to get this game cheap, so look at different stores, or at amazon for good prices. Even though this game has been out for a few years, it is still pretty damn fun!

Pros: The game is very detailed and fun to play.

Cons: It has a very bad multiplayer game, thus making it almost a 1-player game.

Though I do not own the Simpsons Hit & Run, I have played it many times before. Apparently, most other Simpsons games are not very good-however, I have found Hit & Run to even go over my expectations. The 3D graphics have amazing quality, it has a nice and quite easy control factor, and is very fun to play. The sound is great, and the dialogue is good, but I somewhat question how the voice-overs are controlled. Many times I have heard dialogue repeated over and over again. On the cons side, it lacks a good multiplayer game. It is an embarassment to multiplayer console games. The multiplayer game is like (or even worse than) an old-fashioned arcade game, which is totally not worth collecting all the trading cards for. But overall, great game, excellent story-line, and absolutely fabulous game-play.

This game really rocks.Its like road Rage but you can walk steal cars.You can be Homer,Lisa,Marge,Bart and Apu.You Do missions for people venture around town see people from the show.The last car you drived becomes your when you load up its in the driveway.You gotta try this game for real.Its the best simpson game ever.Its almost a jack off Gran theif auto but its still good.

An awesome game with excellent graphics, but the old "gimme coins" setting.If you're an old simpsons fan, this is your game.NOT CHILD FRIENDLY!!!!!!!You can see a regular simpsons storyline with a bit more innopropreit stuff than the show.This is a multi-sided game with some of this and some of that.The last levels are painstakingly hard while the toutorial doesn't help at all.

I found that the gameplay in Hit and Run became boring very quickly. You just keep racing around from point to point. The mini-games are just more racing. The storyline and premises of the game mostly don't make much sense (being 8 and 10 years old why do Lisa and Bart drive around town?). They say that the writers of the Simpsons wrote the story for this game which does make sense given how very poor the shows of recent seasons have been. If you like the Simpsons you will probably enjoy tooling around Springfield and seeing all the sights and characters, but ultimately it's about gameplay which just didn't hold up for me. I also think younger fans might find even some of the earlier missions difficult. It's really a shame to waste a good show and set of characters on a game like this. So much better could have been done. Why this obsession with the Simpsons and driving games(Road Rage)? I would think a much better job could be done with a platforming/adventure type game. I just can't recommend this game from my experience of it.

Wow!!! What a great game this looks like! I had a hard time with it though because I bought the game and tried to open it with a knife and it fell into the sink with some laundry detergent and got destroyed.

I got a new one, though, but it didn't fit into the memory card slot so I had to go get a new controller.

Beans and tomatoes are good!
