This game proves that if a game is really good graphics dont matter the graphics in this may suck but warcraft has been the best and first ever war stratigy if you havent played this game which is liek 2 people get it i remember playin this back in like 95 it was so cool but i got this online one its like 3 in one games it has warcraft 2 tides of darkness it has the expansion pack warcraft 2 beyond the dark portal and it has like a multi player theme play single player first and beat it just so you can learn everything (...), SO BUY THIS AND KEEP WARCRAFT ALIVE.....................

Our four sons love this game, played with and against teams of players around the world, BUT PLEASE WATCH FOR INAPPROPRIATE CHATTER from occasional (?adult?) perverts who sneak in. The players can block these individuals, but parents are the best screeners. Advise your teens and please keep a vigilant watch as they play.

"What is the best??" you might say. Without a doubt in my mind, StarCraft Brood War just soars over this game. The gameplay is ten times more immersing, the units look cooler, the graphics are better, and, unlike warcraft2, the battles are always well fought and they really feel like a war!! Warcraft2 kinda feels the same but StarCraft really fills the void where WC2 couldn't. oh ya and you can nuke your friends.... hehehe!! oh ya, contrary to those soccer moms who try to protect there kids from the "OBSENE CHATTER!!" it's really nothing!! i've never encountered a pervert or anything over like 3 years of playing!!! if by chance you do.... just press /squelch (name of pervert) and they're gone!! big deal!!

I got this for my son for college. He just got a computer and wanted to games. He said he played starcraft and said it was good. I was looking with my son for other strategy games, and my son mentioned this one. When my son started playing, he couldn't stop. He said it was exelent!

A few months ago, I downloaded the Warcraft 2 demo, and i immediatly fell in love with it. About a month later, i bought the game. It is the most fun game i have ever played. When you play on Battle.net, you get to play in real time against someone else or a computer. This way you get to see new stratagies and techniques that other people have used. One night a few days after buying this game, i stayed up till 5 oclock playing this game, and couldnt sleep the rest of the "night". This game made me fall in love with RPG and RTS games. It doesnt have any 3d graphics, but i dont care at all. It requires a lot of strategy and fast thinking, especially when you are in mid battle. I hope you buy this game, and meet me on battle.net

First when you get it it can be complicated, but after a week it gets easy.You can pick human or orc and have different buildings and different equipment: this includes mages and death knights which are magical and great graphics.If you're into midevil war games get this game!

awesome reissue of a classic

I remember playing this game on my old pentium 60 that ran Windows 3.11. The game is exactly the same now, but it, amazingly still holds up, unlike many games from the same time, like Doom II, and the like. Blizzard are an awesome company, and have really spiffed up Warcraft II in this version. The most noticable is the addition of about 50 or so single player custom scenarios to choose from, and Blizzard combining the actual game and its add-on in one CD, saving the buyer bucks. Also, less important to me, but still really cool is the multiplayer set-up. Though I have yet to try it out for myself, I'm sure I will be in the fall when I go back to school and my T1 connection. everyone I've talked to so far about it said the multiplayer interface is great. Judging from the upgrades to the single-player part of the game, it seems like they're right.

This is by far my favorite stragety game of all time, everything about it is great, but it is very old and WarcraftIII is coming out early next year or late this year, besides that there are several other Blizzard games to make up for this

WarCraft is an excellent strategy game which I enjoyed immensely. It allows you to play via the net, as well as the campaign of the orc/human struggle. The storyline is ok, the gameplay is good, and the forces are fairly interesting. It was a great game while it lasted, but that time was less than most strategy games. Blizzard corrected most of its errors of WarCraft when it made StarCraft. Thus, although this is a good game, for a better look of what Blizzard is capable of, give StarCraft a try-its not that WarCraft is bad, its just StarCraft is better.
