Too much fun.

I had a great time with this game! The king's fate is in your hand and you have to find the answer fast. The game brings a lot of information about the ancient Egypt and their culture what I thought was useful to play better. And you travel all over try to find answers by solving puzzles. The puzzles are too much fun! Very simple story but I enjoyed every minute of it. If you liked adventure games with puzzles that takes a little more time to solve, this is the one.

Worth it for the Land of ISIS!! (Breathtakingly Beautiful!)

O.K. I am too dumb to play without a copy of the walkthrough...so I saved a bit of time there. I had been impressed by a "night scene" in Egypt 2, but when I made it to the "Night Scene" in the Kingdom of ISIS...I was actually blown away by the breathtaking BEAUTY ....I actually closed the game just so I could revisit that Beautiful Island for about 3 days and whenever I has a minute I just "sat" there and looked up at the sky!
The graphics are MUCH better than Egypt 2, and the characters much less cartoonish. The story line is O.K.the puzzles not too hard....I sometimes asked myself "Is this the kind of thing that other adults are REALLY spending time on??"....but then I find I just HAVE to do a detour to sit by the pool at the Temple, or admire the Land of Isis, and I think "WOW!"...how do they PUT all this Dream stuff onto a little bitty disc?

This was a good game. Not as good as some, but worth my time.

Boring

Just couldn't get into this game. It was boring. I only played for a little while and it just didn't hold my interest.

I had just finished playing Syberia before this one so maybe that had something to do with it.

Egyptian Prophecy Bites the Dust

Perhaps my expectations were too high but I was rather disappointed by this depthless puzzle game. The game is advertised as an adventure in Egypt but it is possible to complete this game in only a matter of hours. The game consists of figuring out a few puzzles, and interacting only with only designated characters. Exploration is also limited and once you have finished the puzzle, there is no point in playing again.

Effective historical game

While not exaclty riveting players with it's compelling gameplay, Egyptian Prophecy does a decent job at using the traditional 1st person adventure format and applying it to the ancient egypt setting..Gamplay moves along without dragging too hard, and the authenticity helps immerse the player in the culture of the era..I wish more of these kinds of games would be better invested in by both developer and player, for the combination of fact and fun, history and imagination, usually makes for more inspired game environments then most..

Egyptian Prophecy Fulfilled!

As an adult interested in Egyptology, I find this game both fun and educational. The information given is mostly accurate from an archeological standpoint. The game is challenging and the graphics excellent. The game is a bit slow at times. This game represents an entertaining way to learn about a wonderous civilization that was technicologically advanced over 4,500 years ago and which produced beautiful art. It was also a scientifically advanced society with astronomy and medicine centuries ahead of the Ancient Greeks. I recommend it.

Enjoyable Game :)

I really enjoyed this game from start to finish. The graphics are stunning and the puzzles were well made and appropriate to the game. Some were on the easy side for an experienced gamer, but this would be a fabulous introduction for a newbie. My kids like to sit on my bed with me and watch the games as I play, and this is a perfect choice for that - they asked questions about Egypt, asked about the point of what we were doing, and offered ideas for how to get it done. I recommend it and would rate it higher if I hadn't played games that were longer (and to me longer is better).

nothing too bad about it, but nothing too good

Every so often I get the urge to try an adventure game, and this time the result was ... satisfactory.

The game was easier than most, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Too often, game puzzles are more hard than fun. The bigger flaw was that the game was highly linear. The player is led step-by-step through a story with no real opportunity to affect it. Solve a puzzle, go to the next puzzle. Lather, Rinse Repeat. There were no "game-level" puzzles that required you to solve other puzzles for clues -- everything was at most "chapter-level", and typically it was just individual puzzles that you solved and then forgot about when you reached the next one.

Even when it was obvious that one of the characters Maya trusted was betraying her, there was nothing to do about it. You had to continue along the script. That does help prevent annoying dead ends, but it also takes away the feel of immersion into a different world.

All of this would be forgiveable if the story were exciting, but it really is nothing but a series of puzzles. If that's what you want, it's fine (as long as you don't expect them to be too complex).

Replayability interest is pretty much nonexistent.

Simply Wonderful! Amazing graphics and smooth game play!

I loved this game! I am interested in the Bible and egyptology, and thought this game worth trying. I couldn't stop playing it. It's fast pace and not too hard a game. You can always find solutions on the net. Outstanding graphics and animation! It's even educational. Bravo AdventureGames! The only thing I got tired of was going back and forth to the same "lands". But non the less, what can you expect in a dessert... It's definately worth buying and has a low rating--E for everyone...so it appeals to all ages. Just to let you know, I'm 21 and was able to complete the game in about a day and a half... with lots of breaks of course.
