I don't get the whining, this is a good game.

My daughter has played this game. Yes, it is hard, but she quicly picked up the skill to move the avatar through the game and has done a good job getting through the adventures. At 6 I'd want her to have more of a challenge than what some of the other Barbie games present to children. I myself am an online gamer and did not have a problem with the difficulty level of the game. I think it's more that the folks reviewing are somewhat out of touch with what a first-person type game is like.

My daughter loves the game. She is able to play by herself with just a little bit of help. So the game is good in that a 6 year old is able to understand the premise yet hard enough to intrigue her.

This game is wonderfully designed, and is loved by my 8 year old daughter. Even though she was ill over the holidays, she wanted to spend time playing 12 Dancing Princesses. It is highly recommended!

Most of the reviews of this game I have read are by frustrated parents that are upset that they can't use the computer as a babysitter for their children. They are upset that they "can't get anything else done" because their children keep calling for help. It is true, my 4 year old daughter also calls for help, however she LOVES this game! She takes great pride in completing a task whether it is with my help or without. It is also true that it has brought her to tears at times, yet she still asks to play it at every free moment. Each time she plays she learns something new and I have no doubt that in time she will be solving the whole thing on her own. No, the game is not solved in a matter of minutes at this age, not even hours. But I have used it as a tool to teach my daughter patience. I welcome the times she calls me to help her. Lord knows she won't be doing that forever!

An Epic Game of Countless Surprises

At first this game looked as boring as the Pegasus game in its beginning. Yet my four-year old daughter pulled out fireworks and smooth flight inside a gem filled cavern and many more things. I wonder just how long it took to develop this software? How many people were involved? Amazing puzzles are the true gems.

Fun, but one hard task.

I'm six years old. It is pretty fun, except for one part which is Twyla jumping over these flowers. You have to get eight flowers to find a gem. My dad usually gets it. I especially like the little ones which are Lacy, Genessa, and Kathleen. They have a part that none of the others have.

I like to play it over again. Derek, the boy that helps Barbie, doesn't do that much stuff. I especially like when you find the elixir, because you get to open a fun path of crystals.

I love the fountain path best.

Here is the computer I play the game on:
Windows XP, 1.99Ghz processor, 384MB RAM

not the best, but not as bad as all these reviews

my 5 yo daughter really enjoys this game. it is challenging, but certainly do-able. she quickly got the hang of moving genevieve around. I think the graphics are nice - a lot nicer than I expected after reading these reviews. we have about 4 other barbie computer games and this one ranks up there with them, though it is not the best. If you want an "easy" game, get rapunzel. that one isn't going to be as challenging, yet it is fun. we had no problems with the installation onto our computer. it loaded right up.

I like the game. But I think it's for younger people maybe five to eight years old, not ten. It's good for patient people because every time you start a new archway it tells you how to play, when you probably already know. I think it's kinda fun because you use the arrow keys and space bar instead of the mouse.
