This game is some kind of system hog. I had twice the recommended specs, but could barely get 10 to 20 frames per second out of it. I actually managed to play through the first two missions in spite of some really HORRIBLE framerates (like 1 to 2 per second at times), and I actually did have some fun with it when it was running right. But I never could get it to run properly. Seems like the longer I had it running, the more the framerates would drop. And with mission 3, which takes place at night, the framerate problem got so bad, I just gave up. Compounding the problem is the stupid save game system. I might have continued trying to play this if I could have saved anywhere I wanted, and then rebooted my computer in hopes of re-setting the engine or whatever. It did seem to run better when rebooted, but that meant also replaying a major portion of a mission again, and by the time I got to where I was before, the framerate had dropped so much, it was time for another reboot. Frustrating beyond belief, and no patch was ever issued that I'm aware. Too bad. Looks like it could have been fun.
The gameplay is somewhat similar to "Delta Force: Xtreme", which itself is an updated version of the original classic, "Delta Force". So if you're looking for a good actioner, I'd much more highly recommend that (updated) one. It runs Xtremely well in XP and is a very good-looking and fun to play game.
