Check out the VERY SMALL legal disclaimer on the inside cover of the box that says "Also published as Chrome:Gold Edition".

There is nothing new about this game at all. Same gameplay, crappy AI and lame graphics. They just lumped in a few new levels/missions! What a total ripoff!

Not only is this game poorly created, it was not even created. This game is CHROME, released in 2003. I played it and owned it. It was horrible. There are free mods created by amateurs for games you already own that outshine this game made by "pros".

This game is the same company re-using an old game, they just retitled it to Advanced Battlegrounds.

Don't waste your money or time. Send DreamCatcher a message, "We gamers don't like being ripped off for a fast buck!"

Horrible

Wow... I'm a PC junkie and gamer and this game is really bad. The storyline is bad, the graphics are bad, the voices for some of the characters are irritating... the list goes on.

I wondered why it was on sale... because no one is buying it. I tried to play online, but no one else was on, anywhere... I assume everyone else has either sold theirs or thrown it away.

I just quit playing... I couldn't stand the poor graphics, acting, and voices any longer.

Not worth your dollar (not even just one).

Too bad I can't leave zero stars or it would get it!

Yes, this is Chrome: Gold Edition retitled...

Okay, most people did not understand that this game was renamed and re-released under the name Advanced Battlegrounds for its US release. I think the developers understood that Chrome: Gold was a pretty poor name for a game, and US customers are picky. That aside, it is Chrome. The difficulty on the highest level is EXTREMLY difficult as the AI loves to pre-fire the heck out of you. That being said, I enjoy a good AI given arse-kicking becasuse I havnt gotten a good one since my days of playing Xaero on nightmare in quake3. They do employ some basic maneuvers to comabt you, but nothing spectacular. The games graphics are decent but nothing spectacular. The outdoor woods levels are quite nicely done, and I feel this engine/developer works best outdoors. The indoor levels are rather sparse and bland, but thankfully you dont spend too much time there. The weapons are good, and the recoil and spread are very diffuclt to manage, and again, I enjoy it. There are biomodifications similar to those in Deus Ex in fucntion by not execution. They seem to level up of their own accord, this is called "assimilation". There is no bioenergy like Deus Ex, but instead your nervous system can overload if you use the mods too long. All in all, this game was a good purchase. No one is on the multiplayer as stated, and thats a shame because over LAN it was pretty fun. Between this and Chaser (same year, both budget shooters) Id choose Chaser for its beautiful engine and engaging (if a little campy and trite) story.
