Better than I expected...

I bought this game for my 6 year old son and found myself enjoying it as much as he was. Although the characters were very simple and cartoon-like they were also endearing. The puzzles, races and graphics were all very well done and not TOO simple. My son and I would pass the controller back and forth to each other when one of us would die. This game was much better than I had expected and we had a lot of family type fun.

Well, I think you can get the details in other reviews. I'm going to keep this review short. "Sly Cooper and the Thievious Raccoonus" compares well to other platform games such as "Jak and Daxter" and "Ratchet and Clank." It is a well designed game and has no serious flaws. For the impatient, there are no noticable pauses while the game grabs data from DVD.

The designers for Sly Cooper have obviously spent much more time on the artwork and style, creating a very detailed and rich gaming world. The voices are truly remarkable, sharing some of the best quality acting I have heard in a game. The mini-games are consistently fun. The intermissions are entertaining and humorous (Unintentionally sometimes, as Sly seemes to have driven across the Pacific Ocean).

The downside is that the designers did not invest as much detail in the gameplay. If Sly missteps just a little, he's in the brink. Keys are awkward at first and invite mispressed commands, which will happily destroy Sly in a silly roll off the nearest cliff.

Great game. If you are a platform fan, it is a must have now that it's in the $20.00 bin.

Wow, once again Sony delivers a beautiful game. The use of cel-shading means that Sly Cooper and his pals are gorgeous. The gameplay is very unique and is a great mixture of humor and action. Perhaps the only real gripe that I have with the game is that it is too easy (three days of playing maybe two hours a day). Still, with great music, a very unique concept, incredible extras (the designers' commentary over levels is hilarious), and likeable characters, Sly Cooper is a game for all ages.

It all started when I went to my friend's house. He asked if I wanted to play Sly Cooper and I answered,"Sure!" So we started on the level when you are first introduced to enemies and bottles. I started to love it the more I played. I asked my mom if I could get it. She said "Yes" and I got it! Six months later,I beat the game! My Favorite part was beating the Panda King. I thought that the hardest level was when you fight the Master Mind of the Raid on the Cooper's House. I also like this game because when you get a certain amount of bottles, you'll get cool moves. My favorite move is the stun attack. This game is also very good with graphics. And Boy! It seems like I am inside Sly Cooper's body!

This is a great game!!! It is easy for anyone to become addicted to! It is one of the very few games that I have gotten all the way through. If you are looking for a GREAT game for PS2 grap Sly Cooper.

sly cooper is great i've played it occasionally in different places and it's a wonderful game you can jump,run and swing the only thing that actually stinks is the inability to swim!! i jumped in the water only to watch helplessly as sly is frantically trying to get out but instead of actually trying he just struggles then takes his hat off and sinks!! and it especially stinks because you can't really stay alive after getting hit he just gives up. you would think if he's a thief he would've learned how to swim!!!

This game is so cool!!! You get to rob all these rich people's places to get a book back called the Thevius Racoonus. Each page of the booki that you get lets you do new tricks ect. I especially like the characters and dodging all of the lasers!!!

Played the demo...I'm really not a "gamer," but this one is absolutely beautiful and has so many different levels to play. It was difficult to leave the colorful, artistic and cleverly designed world of Sly and friends. It is a MUST HAVE for all PlayStation players. I know what all my friends will be getting for Christmas.

sly cooper and the thievius racoonus is a great game. the graphics look cool because they are drawn kind of like cartoons.
the game is about sly tring to get his thievius racoonus book back from these robbers who stole it from him.
the levels are like platformer,exept sly has to do some stealth moves to get past the levels. i reccomend this game to anyone, because they are sure to love it.

This games has:

* Great graphics. Another reviewer claims they are "2-D". I simply don't know what that person is talking about.

* Extremely smooth, fluid game play with motion blur. Sensible contols, too.

* Sharp hi-fi sound. Many games lack this. This one takes advantage of good audio equipment.

* A cool plot with animations.
