This is a good game if you like the game Black. Most of it is really easy for anyone to figure out. You don't have to figure out any hard puzzles or anything like that. You must achieve certain goals, like link up with a platoon so all you have to shoot and kill everything in between you and your objective. It is a good game if you like shooting and blowing things up. Don't buy if you are looking for a game with a bunch of puzzles. Buy it if you like blowing people rp to hell!

Fun Game

After playing all the Socom and MOH games it was nice to have a different format. Snowblind is a futuristic special opps game and is fun to play. All the different weapons and special abilities of the character makes for some very creative fighting. I would like to see a second series of this game.

Blindingly Boring

The game play on the PS2 version of this game was incredibly disappointing. The graphics are also a bit dated. There is just nothing about this game that makes it worth buying -- or even playing. If you want a great shooter that is just fun to play, stick with "Black."

Best first person shooter I've played so far.

In this game, you'll get killed a lot. However, each time you're killed, it makes you want to try again immediately because you've thought of some new strategy or combination of weapons to use to get through your enemies. And that strategy works! Then it's on to the next part, where you'll get killed several times and immediately want to try again. It's positively addictive!

The coolest part are the weapons. One of them can fire a bolo type thing, with electronic balls held together with electricity. It hits your enemy and pummels him into submission. If there's not an enemy around, it bounces along beside you like a dog. So cool! Another weapon can clear everything out of a whole hallway - everything goes "whoosh" down to the far end. Another fires a ball of light that hovers above your enemies heads and zaps them with electricity. You also get grenades, a cool sniper rifle, rocket launcher, and another gun that can fire through walls. Enemies don't stand a chance!

The graphics in this game are great, though the environments could have been a bit more varied. You occasionally get control of a vehicle, which sort of sucked because the aiming system makes it very difficult to hit anything. You thought you could blast everything and everyone to smithereens, and instead you can barely hit one guy. Oh well, like I say, you'll only spend about 2% of your time controlling these things.

I'm afraid that as fun as this game was to play the first time, it had virtually no replay value. Once you've worked out the strategies to get past each group of guys, well, that's pretty much it. Still, it was a whole lot of fun to play and I'll give it four stars out of five.

Great Game, but don't expect to see anyone online

This game runs on a very smooth engine. The gameplay is solid and very fun. But after filling out an exhausting amount of personal information to register it online, I found that lo and behold! There is not a single soul online to play with. If you are getting this for online play, make sure you have some friends who plan on playing it with you from their house because there are no strangers on it!

Outgunned And Outnumbered, But Enhanced!

As Nathan Frost, you're part of an elite special forces team in 2065 that's been sent in to put down a terrorist organization in China that calls itself the Republic. The action varries from an urban landscape to a wasteland, and the weapons from familiar rifles, pistols, and grenades to nanotechnology that allows you to become nearly invulnerable, invisible, and able to see in the dark. This is a first-person shooter with a credible storyline and some decent characterization and plotting. I got just as involved in the story as I did the action.

PROJECT SNOWBLIND was developed by Crystal Dynamics and released by Eidos. Crystal Dynamics has also developed the Legend of Kain series, the Gex series, and recently released TOMB RAIDER LEGENDS, the latest in the long-lived Lara Croft adventure series.

I really got into the game immediately. There was enough storytelling and world development to get me into the mood, and then I got plopped down into a battlefield and had to fight for my life. One of the things I quickly learned was to not try to Rambo it and do it all myself. I was leading a team, so I backed off, kept myself alive and picking off enemy soldiers, and started taking the levels pretty easily without constantly dying as I first was. Of course, then I was promptly blown up in a cut-scene I had no control over.

Thankfully, the military rebuilt me, made me better than I was, and sent me back to the war with nano-enhancements that made me a super-soldier. But the game stress upgraded too. Even with careful play, if I made a mistake or played too arrogantly, I paid for it.

The graphics in the game are good. The controls are fluid, and after a little while of working out how to bring everything into play, I was a super-soldier on the battlefield. The action swept through an urban arena that featured shootouts in the streets and in blown-up buildings. The superpowers that came along with the nano upgrade were a blast and easy to operate. But you have to keep your eyes open not only for the enemy, but for the upgrades, medkits, ammo, and energy packs. Not only do you get you use personal weaponry, but you also get to hook up behind some heavy artillery and drive vehicles.

When you play the game online, up to 16 players can join in, working as two-man teams.

I had a great time with PROJECT SNOWBLIND. I remember when it came out, but didn't pick it up because I hadn't heard that much about it. Evidently there wasn't much media push at the time, which is a shame because this is a game well worth playing if you like shooters or co-ops. Pick it up, have a great time, and keep your head down!

Uhh what exactly is Project:SnowBlind?

If you're into shooting, electrocuting, hacking, and blowing stuff up, this is the game for you: no stealth here, just ass kicking from start to finish. This is one of the few games I've played (the only other one I can think of is the first Max Payne) that, while playing it the first time, I couldn't wait to play it a second--it's just that good. And yes, it is kind of short, but so's sex, relatively speaking; would you avoid that too?... Buy this game! You won't regret it.

A good game but...

This game is one of the best shooters i've seen in a long time. It uses the aspects of a shooter and has a twist adding powers to tinker with the gameplay. Another good thing is that each weapon has a alternate fire mode. You may be thinking "So what?" but it allows you to fire something into a crowd of enemies or a vehicle without changing your weapon. It also adds some simplicity by you having the same excact ammo with the primary and alternate fire. This is great because in most games you need to pick up special ammo for that which would take forever. Now for the bad part. This game is awesome but it is too freakin short and easy if these to aspects were corrected this would be one of the best shooters this year.
