The incomparable PS2 game series, dirt cheap!

If you haven't yet experienced the Grand Theft Auto series for the PlayStation 2, this is a magnificent set. There is simply no other game that endows your avatar with this range of experiences and achievements.

In every year of their release, these games placed first in U.S. video game sales. So yes, there are plenty of used copies floating around the GameStops and EBGames of the world, but typically in dismal shape... plunk down less than $10 apiece for brand-new discs and instruction manuals, and give yourself (or someone you care for) the absolute king of open-ended action gaming.

GTA X 3 for a great price.

I won't go into detail about the games themselves here since there are likely much better reviews under the individual listings of the games. What I would like to say is that the packaging is very nice. Each game comes in it's own case as originally sold, and the set is packaged as a box set. The games include manuals, maps, etc.

If you liked any of the 3 games and haven't tried them all, this is a great deal. Under $30 for 3 great, open-ended, high-replay-value games is hard to beat. If you were to buy all 3 games at PS2 Greatest Hits prices, you would likely pay $40-60 for all three.

Great games, great price, great packaging.

more bang for your buck

If you're considering getting one of the great Grand Theft Auto games, just buy this one! For $10 a game in its original case with manual/map and all, why not get it? Grand Theft Auto games have always been bestsellers. Why? Well, here are some common features that these games share:
*brilliantly, realistically designed cities, country, and oceans
*free roam across miles of terrain
*combination of a shooter, role-playing game, free roam, and movie!
*intricate, realistic, twisting, dramatic storylines (Grand Theft Auto: Vice City's dialogue script is over 1,000 pages long!)
*beautiful graphics
You'll easily notice how these cities are designed after real ones (GTA III- New York, GTAVC- Miami, GTASA- California). With many different weapons, missions, just things to do, you can be entertained for ages with these plantinum hits. However, note that all Grand Theft Auto games have blood, violence, and language. Vice City also has nudity and gore, and San Andreas also has sexual content and gore.

Three masterpieces at a cheap price

Rockstar's controversial Grand Theft Auto series has been more influential than anyone can really conceive. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy, compiles GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas in one cheap and ultra afforable package, and if you've never immersed yourself in the world of GTA, then this package is a must own. GTA 3 took the 2-D top down series to a 3-D open world and helped sell millions of PS2's in the process as well, as well as spawning a horde of crime filled, open world type games in the process that could never match the intensity or originality of the GTA series. Playing as a low rent thug, you engage in plenty of missions in Liberty City. Vice City took things back to the 80's as you play as Tommy (voiced by Ray Liotta) as you prowled the Miami-esque city with even more challenging gameplay elements. San Andreas however changed the series even more, as RPG elements were thrown into the mix as you play as CJ and set out on one of the most compelling stories ever crafted for a video game in the urban jungle reminiscent of Los Angeles. The production quality for all three games is top notch: ranging from the voice talent to the music and songs on radio stations. Having all three games in one handy package is a beautiful thing as well, as each game gets progressively better, longer, and overall fun. All in all, if you missed out on the GTA series over the past few years, now has never been a better time to give them a look, and with GTA IV on the horizon, the time is definitely now.

3 of the greatest games ever, for a cheap price.

GTA 4 is going to be the BEST!!!!!

Every GTA game is great. They keep improving and improving every time a new one comes out. All the GTA's contain great voice acting, lots of action, great missions, and nice vehicles. The best GTA of the series is San Andreas. You can fly planes or helicopters,go into resturants, customize your character, and you can call your friends on the street for help in San Andreas. I think that GTA 4 is gonna be better than all of the other GTA's put together. I can't wait to get it but for now I play San Andreas and Crackdown. I do not play Saints Row. Saints Row is just a cheap rip-off of GTA San Andreas. San Andreas is way better than Saints Row. Actually, every GTA game is better than Saints Row.

I bought this for my 10 year old son because the father of one of his friends told me his son adored it. It is absolutely unsuitable for anyone under the age of 18. Much too much violence, profanity, etc for any child. I can not fathom how any responsible parent would ever let a child play these games.

I personally found it repulsive even as an adult. Maybe there is some truth to the belief that by showing our children extreme violence we are telling them its OK.

Do use 2008's view to judge them

Well it's unfair to campare these games to GTA4 in the graphic, but no need to say they are the best at their times.
