I played Larry Laffer back in the day... you would laught your heart out. You would f*** prostitutes, you would play pocker, you would help girl get liposucktions... it was all out fun. But this game lacks that fun factor... you can easily pass a few hours on it but its just not the same... the jokes are not that funny as the old ones... the adventures arent that challenging or funny either... I mean you want a game to entertain you for 5 hours tops... buy it... but DONT EXPECT LARRY LAFFER... this is just plain larry lovage a kid with a boring life who will never amount to his uncle's character charisma

Very Addicting

LSL: Magna Cum Laude is not only loaded with blatant sexual humor, but it has great graphics and great game-play.

The graphical detail and camera angles are akin to that of the two latest Simpson's games. The controls are in the standard WSAD + Mouse configuration.

The fun part is that the game is "intelligent" and thus adjusts difficulty on the fly. For example, if the player does exceptionally well on two or three games of Quarters, the computer will improve its accuracy and tolerance. Also, based on the level of alcohol in Larry's body, the computer will either speed up certain games or slow down the keyboard input on other games.

LSL: Magna Cum Laude is full of humourous twists and out-rageous turns in the plot. However, to appreciate these twists and turns in their utmost glory, one must purchase LSL: MCL Uncut & Uncensored.

Lacking

First off for clarification: There is -NO- sex in this game, the most daring thing is full frontal nudity. Unlocking all the extras and stuff just unlocks nudity and puzzles.

The game is lacking on all levels. The puzzles are too simple and shallow, and the commentary is boring. The older ones where more interesting, but I never much liked them ether.

By the way nudity is the only difference between the regular and uncut versions.

Take care for the costs

I bought this game and I had to call for technical support because it was not working and first thing I discover I need a new video card because if you don't have a card that support lighting it will not work, this is not fair because it's not specify when you purchase the game...

not as good as the previous versions

I rented Leisure Suit Larry being as it takes about one week to beat while playing one hour a day. This game was a mediocre game and didn't live up to the others. On the PC version you have to download patches online via google for nudity which is the driving force for most people including myself, but there is nudity in the videos. My mom was watching over my back so I often had to go back and watch the videos when she wasn't home. But this is a fun game and can be interesting at times, but the minigames are repetitive!! How many times is it fun to toss a quearter in a cup? But I definitely wouldn't buy this game, rent it!! And Nigel (the guy you can buy the nudity from) is all over the game. A must rent!!

This program sucks

It loaded well enough, but took a long time. I could live with that. But it would not run. Even contacting support they were unable to help. Their big solution was to run in on another machine to see if the disk were ok. Like everyone has several machines to do their game testing. Oh I could send the dick (game ) back...at my expense. JUST DON"T BUY IT!!!!

More of a comment to "Mothers Against Videogame Violence"

This is more of a comment to user ID "Mothers Against Videogame Violence". Well, a few comments:

1) I wonder if "MAVV" is actually a joke, and not serious. Otherwise, I wonder if "she" is really someone who's bored and just posting little flames of any game with an "M" rating to get attention, kind of an Amazon.com review troll. ;)

2) If not, if "MAVV" is sincere, then I wonder if she, like many people who wish to censor things has even PLAYED the game, or is going by what she has HEARD about the game. I have found that many people who wish to decide morality for other people will tend to do this, will go on assumption, not reality. Otherwise, I suspect "MAVV" doesn't even own the game, or has even downloaded a demo, if one is even avaliable.

3) If "MAVV" did buy it, or at least downloaded a demo...well, you got what you asked for. The game has a prominent "M" on the box, indicating a "Mature" rating, similar to a US movie cinema's "R" rating. Most stores, at least most large retaillers like Best Buy, Wal-Mart and the sort will ask for ID before letting someone under 18 buy such. I've seen my local Wal-Mart do exactly that. If "MAVV" is both sincere and did buy the game and/or download a demo, then "MAVV" is doing sloppy job of parenting. If this game had a "T" or lower rating, then maybe I could see her point, it would be rated too low for the content. But it does not.

As an aside, I do find it interesting that so many people wish to blame a computer game or other popular forms of media. I'll ask you this, ever look up the life of William Bonney? He was shot by a sheriff at the age of 21, after excaping prison. Most of his crimes happened while he was a teenager, a good portion under the age of 18, including if I remember right killing a man who befriended him and then hired him on his ranch, multiple thefts and murders, and other various crimes including prison escapes. BTW, William Bonney is known by another name, "Billy The Kid". Please let me know what computer game, TV show, song or movie corrupted Billy The Kid to be the way he was? ;) (One hint for the VERY clueless, Billy the Kid was born about a century too early for TV, Computers, etc... :p ).

Parents raise children, not computer games. Would I give this game to a child or even young adolscent? No, but at the same time I don't expect the publisher to have to police the game for me, nor do I want the government nor any zealot like "MAVV", if "she" isn't a troll and is sincere to police what I buy for me. I will do my own policing, thank you. Do yours for you family, and don't invade my privacy by deciding for me what's moral.

Err...anyone know where I can sell a slightly used soapbox? :)

Oh, decent game, but not IMO a "real" Larry game, even if the old Sierra style adventure game is probably gone from us. Still, I would have liked to have seen that...as an aside, the new Sam & Max was cancelled early this year, I suspect they were following closer to the standard adventure game format, and unfortuntly saw it as a niche audience. It's a shame...I like a First Person Shooter, but I also miss the old Sierra style adventure games like that (and yes, I know Sam & Max was Lucasarts...I guess I'm lumping it into the same general category).

Wrong Game!!!
