DONT LISTEN TO THE HYPE!!!

I bought this game when it first came out, and I was so excited. I just finished the game a few minutes ago, and I must say it was disappointing all throughout. I hoped that the game would get better as it progressed, but it seemed to stay at the same lackluster level. The graphics were awful, the enemies all seemed to behave in the same manner, the storyline was a bit bland, and there wasn't a lot of the blood and gore I kept hearing about. The ending was a joke (at least the one I earned). Anyway, I definitely DO NOT recommend this game if you're looking for a sick, twisted, gruesome game. This kiddie game does not make the mark. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY ANOTHER GAME!!!

The first game I bought from Rockstar was Bully, which I really loved, so I assumed Manhunt 2 would be of the same caliber. Sadly, Manhunt 2 has issues that make it very difficult to play:

* The controls are complicated: the game uses every button of the PS2 for routine tasks making it very difficult to learn the key combinations necessary to succeed. To confuse things even more, some buttons perform different tasks in different settings to the point where I said, Wow! That was coolnow how did I do that? several times.

* Documentation is lacking: There are very good prompts within the game to tell you what to do and when, but if you want more details you get no help from the game insert and no help from the Rockstar web site. You have little context to begin and play and, at least for me, its not fun to play when I dont understand why Im playing.

* The game is annoyingly difficult: I expect games to be a bit more forgiving as I learn the controls, but Manhunt 2 gives no such latitude. It also selectively saves the game, so your opportunities to save/start over are limited, which forces you to repeat menial tasks a LOT. Trial-and-error gaming doesnt appeal to me and I have never been a fan of the game over type games, which is what Manhunt is.

I was excited about this game because of the publisher and the story line, but the execution is a huge disappointment. I have not enjoyed Manhunt 2.

I'm not to far into this game yet, but I just had to voice my opinion. The censors practically ruin the game, but that's not all. When compared to the first Manhunt, this is boring and the graphics seem like they're from 1985. I can only hope that maybe someday, after sales drop for this game, they will release the AO version. That way, all the moaners and complainers will have zipped it, and we all can play the game the way it was meant to.

This is not near as good as first. The audio is really bad, graphics horrible, and controls suck. After playing this crappy game, I just wanted to play the original. This game sucks! I didn't even finish it. It does not live up to the first one in any way. It seems like it was just thrown together using the prestige of the original for sell. I don't like this game at all. However, it does have good ideas...just not developed enough. I love the first game!!!!!!!!! I was really looking forward to this one...but..man..it's really poor. No replay value at all! What a waste of time and cash.

we live in a world full of violence( terrorist beheading people, bombings , schools' shootings, serial killers, home invasion ect ect..) why amazon would even sell something so evil...so lets give the bad guys more ideas??? or because makes big sales , ok lets make all the bad legal!!please amazon do not giving in because of profit,

where can i begin? first, the graphics are bad, somewhere between Nintendo 64 and Dreamcast, this game reminds me of the Max Payne and Punisher games, but not near as good. I think Rockstar rushed this game out too quickly for the Ps2, knowing the Ps3 was coming. the game pushes the point that it's over the top bloody and gruesome, which it is, but it's nothing new, actaully i've seen worse in video games (ex. Shadow of Rome) trys too sell sex as well, the game I bought, the disc locks up, and I have too restart the Playstation, I've had to do this a few times, I don't know if it's just mine or it's a problem with the game, the story is not so good, its been done a hundred times and they did a poor job, it's not terrible, but it's not good, the controlls are a problem also, they're glumsy and akward, I'm half way thru the game and have no desire too finish it, If you like the slaughter and the carnage , buy Shadow of Rome ,if like first person shooters, look around, you can do alot better with your $30-$40.

I bought and played the 1st Manhunt game---LOVED it!!! (yeah I'm a little twisted). The overall quality was awesome and the character dialog cracked me the hell up!!!! This game is very disappointing. I got bored with it almost immediately and I'm haveing a hard time playing it again. Hate to say it but I think I wasted my hard earned $$$$!!!!

Hitman is better

I bought this game for my fiance for Christmas because we love playing Hitman. The graphics are disappointing and there is a special effect that fuzzes out the screen with kind of a scratching sound...very distracting. I would recommend the Hitman Trilogy over this game. Don't buy it.

Manhunt 2.....Cant live up 2 its predecessor?

I have played this game for the PS2, I got to tell you, though the executions have been blurred out, they are still pretty crazy looking. In terms of gameplay most of the controls tend to be the same as the original Manhunt, with some added features such as new weapons, crawling climbing, and enviromental executions makes up for the execution blurrs, just my opinion of course. Overall if yu are a fan of the Manhunt series...its a must have...if your into horror games...I recommend it other than that...its ur $. :D

This Game is Awesome! I'm having so much fun playing it! The game play is awesome..Def not for Kids under 17 They did block out some of the gore but you really dont pay to much attention to that once you get going..Buy this game if you love shootem up games or if you just plain love Gore!
