This game is a very bad game.

I stopped playing this game after a few hours. I tried the multiplayer and that sucked as well.

I will stick to playing PC FPS. Not crappy PS2 FPS.

When will Sony learn?

Ohhh myyy god this game was so crappy all i herd was bad reviews on it from g4 tech tv from my game informer magizeen to amazon! i herd the story line makes no sence you cant even jump! oh but you can hop over brick! come on now sony!!! the graphics are good but not good enought this no way a halo killer!!!!! this doesnt beat halo 1 and denfinitaly halo 2 this game doesnt even belong in the same leage! as halo ok halo a2 and this will never vs! in a review because this game is crap !

ok this will vs umm lets seee! ummm.. e.t.! on atari! ok of corse the graphics in killzone are far better but emmmm so far e.t. is lookin'' preety better i dont know this is gonna be a hard one folks! i might go to mexico and dig up a e.t. game in the sand and look every where to buy an atari then play killzone from what the reviews say! my friend acualy liked this game hes stupid dont lsiten to him every day he goes ok halo 2 is awesome next day halo 2 is boring omg no it aint its halo freakin 2 the next day he goes never mind i changed my mind hes stupid as hell not a pro reviewer or gamer!

anyways i probaly exaterated! threw this whole review but when sony goes and say this is a halo killer and doesnt acceive! its objective then sony desreves to rot in hell and the really pethetic thig is this is the best f.p.s. on the playstation 2! hey dont press that i dont aproove with this review because i waRNED YOU AT THE TITLE IF YOU LIKE THIS GAME REVIEW IT IF YOU DONT ! killzone is the best game i have ever played.The graphics are amazing.The computer ai is great.The levels are great because with different people there are different objectives.You should really get this game

I only played it once,but it was cool! You have to play this game. It is short, but who cares? It is much better than Far Cry. [if have played far cry]. So by this game today!!

this game is ok if you just want to get a good ole fashioned walk-thru/shoot em up-- and it's kind of neat that you're fighting "the dreaded hellghast"...but it is very 'mono-chromatic' in color, and a HUUUUUGE annoyance of mine-- is that every character starts with his/her own special weapons- which is a plus,(you can choose different characters at the beginning of each new level)...but you RUN OUT OF AMMO FOR IT REALLY QUICK!!!!- and they don't give you any more...so basically you always have to just drop your weapon,and pick up and use the hellghast rifle because that's the only thing laying around from all the dead hellghast.that makes this game seem idiotic.why even let characters have different weapons if they can only use them to kill the first ten enemies on every level??? very stupid and a big annoyance on the game that lowers it to 3 stars.
other than that its ok...you go through and run into enemies in a variety of different ways and you have to use cover and battle it out........ mainly with the hellghast rifle....lol...

Killzone is nicely detailed, the graphics are very good and it's got a sophisticated European feel to it, but several issues significantly reduce its playability.

1. Sluggish controls. It's like you're trying to move in chest-deep water. Everything moves slowly.
2. Enemies are stupid, yet difficult to kill.
3. Members of your squad just get in the way -- excess baggage. Get out of my way! I'm trying to play a video game, here!

I wanted to play a good game, but this hasn't turned out to be even a halfway decent game. I can't recommend it.

the game has nice graphics and cool guns but nothing else really. Boring gameplay, dumb enemies lame levels. This game tried but failed.

If you have a PS2 get this game.

First off this game is great, the action is intance, fast past peas ,and fun. The graphics push the PS2to the pimit, wtich may explain why some people complained about frame rate. I, my self have not had such problems. Infact the only porblem i had was i got stuck in a log once and couldnt get my self out. I 've got'n stuck a few other time in boxes and other crap but managed to get out. other then geting stuff a few time I've had not problems with this game I love ploaying it. The game play is not just run'n gun using cover is accentual to staying alive and you enemys dont wiat for you to come to them; they like to shoot alot. This is not to say that the enemys are perfect warriors but they do provide a challange, for the most part. every once in a wile you get a guy whos just standing around in the middle of a firefight but I love killed those guys, I mean its a free kill come on. The persentation is well done, and the cut seances are well done. The story is welldone for a shooter and the game is peased well. Over all this game was and is worth every penny i spent on it, and besides at least this game doesnt have a "little shop of horrors" plant in it( for you morons out there that was a shot a HALO 2).

Killzone is an ok game for the average gamer, but if your a person who likes futuristic first person shooters than I suggest this game. PROS- overall fun, awesome variety of weapons, good graphics. CONS- AI are stupid, gets boring over time, story line is boring, other characters dont do anything when your getting shot up, the whole deal about alien invaders is getting really old.

Certainly not the Halo of Sony but still good

While there was a big hype over killzone being the next halo and the halo of PS2 it really wasnt. First off although the graphics arent anywhere near as good as halo they arent completely terrible. The sound is was amazing every single aspect of it, the weapons sound good and the way it was designed is interesting. The enviroment looks very gritty a quality that leads to that dirty guerrilla warfare type war zone. The fact that u are fighting human enemies is interesting as well with some comment made every time an enemy shows up that can get very repetetive. The fact that the entire screen moves on every detail also leads to a more realistic war feel and it did have something in great amount that halo 2 only contained very little of which was very disappointing. Killzone had alot of city fighting which i was looking forward to in halo 2 but halo only had one short level of it, most people prefer halo but many people hated halo 2, me being one, and I thought i had more fun with this game than i did with halo 2
