First ever persistent universe

This game is the first ever really MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game), in UO or EQ you've got seperate servers. Here there is one Universe with 100 000 players. Furthermore the world is persistent, you can build hundreds of ships, stations. Definitly there is no other games like that and it's the first one and the most technicaly advanced.

MANKIND is a great game. It allows yu to do anything you want when you want to do it. Take me, for example, i lead a clan of united mercinaries (for those who are interested, look me up in Andeth Urgee, my name is Admiral Senrab.) The posibilities are endlss.

Mankind is a complex game that involves building cities, bases and ships (after gathering your own elements), diplomacy, war, alliances and much more.

This game is not for those who only enjoy the "shoot them up" style of play. It IS for those looking for something that incorporates several key elements of gaming, including building a character, building your assets, strategy, AND combat.

With superior graphics, ample opportunity for role play and players from around the world, Mankind provides a chance for its players to make friends across international borders.

The game operators, Vibes, have had some problems in the past, but they have worked hard to continually improve game play, customer support and to add new features while making existing features work better.

If you are looking for a game that incorporates more than just combat, more than just role playing, more than just strategy and more than just building, but that incorporates all of those elements, Mankind is the game for you.

I really enjoyed this game, and the doubters of this game from what I have gather, could not figure it out, and those who enjoyed has it figured, and, yes it is true, it will take time to master.

My advice to everyone is to spend the money to buy game so that you can have helpful booklet, to help coach you threw, I got the version from online, which made it very difficult game to learn, and even now that I have been playing for 4 weeks I would still like to have the booklet, (that I am about to purchase game to get)

*Bottom Line* If you enjoyed WarCraft, and all the different versions of Command & Conquer, then this is the game for you, Building, Battles, Research, Resources, and when your ready to settle down from game if you can (very addictive) it keeps playing, real time, always running, when you sleep the game is still playing, nothing to save because it never stops, and if you are able to join a Guild, or Pack, I tell you it is endless, Get It Now.

I only wish I had got it when it started.

It quite a good game. Yea it don't have a lot of graphic, sounds and music. But all the features, the game style innovation and it one of the first to exist of that kind.

the game got better after vibes fixed a lot of problems and put out a new version 1.8. This version is definetly better than the previous versions 1.6 and 1.7. This game is addicting, has good graphics ONLY if you have a 3D graphics card, and you get to meet people around the world. The downfall is that you have to put up with vibes but i think they are getting better like 1.8 did. Also, if you do play join the guild UGG.

I've been playing MK for 14 months now. What is undeniable is this game is probably based on the better concept ever seen in persistant on-line games. You fall in love with the game BEFORE you can realize the truth : the team who is supposed to run, developp and maintain the game, Vibes, is totally incompetent. Many bugs, no support at all and servers are very often closed. The players who have invested a lot of time and energy in MK are always hoping that it will one day be better, but I'm afraid it's always the same old story : many bugs, no support at all, and servers very often closed. The MK community is in hell, believe me !

I've played this game for just over a year an a half. The other reviews are right for the most part. Yes there is an awful lot of mouse clicking in this game, but this is to be expected with a game as complex as this. Is it boring, yes & no, it's more monotinous than boring. Mankind is as fun or dull as you make it!. The main theme here is construction, to research you have to build a lab(s), to get minerals you have to build mine(s),..etc. But what the others have not said is that as a player in MK, you get to meet many fun & interesting people from all over the world! For instance, i have met players from Norway, portigul, Italy, spain, germany...and you also can get to know these players as well. This is not just a game, it's almost an RPG in setup. I would hope that customers browsing through will try MK, if not for the graphics, which are very good, but to meet other people they would not have met otherwise

Play it for the community.... otherwise it ...

... ... ...Personally, I've been playing it for 2 years and I'm not likely to give it up anytime soon. It is technically poor... there is nothing groundbreaking about it. The graphics are substandard. It's buggy.
