This is a very solid game. You play the role of an ex-cop/bounty hunter with amnesia. You must hunt down an evil villan and a biker gang. The control is simple to master with only a few problems. The graphics are solid and pretty life like. One reviwer said it was so good that it surpased GTA3. I dont share this opnion. Nothing is as good as GTA3 except winning the lottery on your birthday. Any way a solid title packed with action and a good story line.
Headhunter is full of cheap thrills!

Best shotgun action of any game. Sportbike play is decent. Can equip and unequip your shades. Stealth kills' neck crunching sound affects never get old. Only down side to the game is that it takes too long to get the machine gun and missile launcher. But once you have the missile launcher, the fun never ends! Better than Red Faction? Yes. Better than GTA3? Negative. Addictive? Absolutely!

Let me first start out by discussing the bad points since there are just a few. I don't know how to ride a real motorcycle; I'm scared of them, but it would probably be easier for me to overcome my fear of riding one in real life than the one in the videogame. The controls are horrible. Also, who thought of that stupid simulator you have to go through in order to upgrade your license? That was ridiculous!!!
Besides these two headaches, I thoroughly enjoyed the game. I couldn't get enough of the hide and peek around the corner ability. The intelligence of the enemies was up to par as well. I would've rated it 5 stars if you could turn up the gore level and include blood, but that's ok. It was a little short, but a piece of heaven compared to that worthless "No One Lives Forever" game.

I bought this game with Turok. Sorry to say, but I wasted my time and money on two very terrible games. The graphics on Headhunter will make you glance at your unit to make sure you are playing it on the PS2 and NOT the PS1. The gameplay is difficult and sometimes fun, but it is just not worth the 45 dollars wasted on it. Rent it first. That is my suggestion. You will be glad that you did. I cannot believe that so far since PS2 has been out, there have been only a few worthy games: MGS2, GTA3, and possibly a FEW sports games. To think that PS3 is due to come out in 2005 when PS2 has YET to make a decent game library to date. Headhunter was just a clone of Winback and MAYBE some aspects of MGS2. This game needs work, the main character needs some more target practice as he is a terrible shot. Like I said... RENT the game, don't buy it. I am returning Headhunter AND Turok:Evolution back to the store I bought them from and HOPEFULLY I will get lucky and find a DECENT PS2 game, but I doubt it.

it wasn't bad, up until I played the level with the mechanical spiders. Then it's just impossible. This game goes from somewhat challenging to stupidly impossible in about an hour and a half of play time. Good luck if you buy it, I can't beat it. Rent it first and be prepared to crash allot on the motorcycle.
Good But A Little Disappointing

When I purchased Headhunter I had heard that it was a very good game and that it was in the same comparrison as Metal Gear Solid 2. Well the game definetly isn't that good, and although I will reccomend it, you really should just borrow it from someone instead of buying it. First off, the game is very very hard. This is coming from someone who beat MGS2 in just under 9 hours. The things that Jack Wade needs to do, such as stunning mechanical spiders and then throwing them at a door, took me about and hour to figure out. Various other things are very hard, but most importantly, the game can be very annoying. Going back and forth to get an upgrade on your license is about the dumbest thing ever created in video games. Also, gather skill points by riding your motorcycle through the city is annoying because every time you crash into a car, the points are taken away. If Headhunter would have just concentrated on gameplay, this would be a 5 star masterpiece. Instead, the game just gets by, mostly because it has a very good storyline, almost like a movie, and has a pretty cool ending. And the game helped itself when I decided to play Half-Life right after it...
good game to buy
