What we have here, is a game with great potential, that just doesnt cut it as-is. What could have been a smash hit, is a disapointment of sorts, however, the gameplay is good, the storyline is satisfactory, and the gunfighting engine is phenominal. The graphics, controlls, environments, charactors, and sound ,however, leave much to be desired.
To sum it all up, headhunter is an entertaining title, but at times can become frustrating, and repetitive. See for yourself, but Id give it a weekend rental at best, dont drop the 50$ to buy it.

Headhunter has gotten almost no real advertising and great reviews, despite the fact it is one of the best games I have. This game is very much like the covert/action games with a bit of everything: shooting, driving, puzzles, covert missions, and upgrades. I feel as though all PS2 owners should at least try and rent the game, if not purchase it. By not playing this you are missing one of the best games on the system.

Headhunter combines almost all genres of games from stealth, shooting, and drving to make it one of the best games on PS2. This game should be getting way more credit then it already does and is easily the most underrated game out there. Though the game is short (10 hours or less) this is a best buy and is required for any collection of games

This game will seem to be the worst ever for all those who enjoyed Metal Gear Solid and maybe the Syphon Filter series. It pretends to be a stealth game; but it is certainly not. Besides , there are huge control and camera issues. Don't buy it, just rent it so can realize by yourselves how bad the gameplay is.

[....]I found this great came captivating and attention grabbing. I have had this game for 3 days and already i have played it for 15 hours. it is very entertaining with it's futuristic influence. I enjoyed this game very much. A must have for crime fighting lovers.

All games like this will be compared to Grand Theft Auto 3, a big city environment in which you can explore and in the meantime, advance the story.

This does not measure up in the least. I'll start with the good.

There is a stab at the story. The in-between movies appear to make a good effort at advancing the story (other than the fact that the mystery as to who's behind it isn't much of a mystery). The animation is pretty well done. Also the news shorts at the beginning and in-between are great. They make a great attempt at bringing the world to life.

The graphics are great and I like the fact that you can enter buildings and shoot up the place.

I like the idea of riding on a motorcyle through the city, something that should be incorporated into GTA: Vice City.

That's about it. And now the bad news.

The load times between scenes and locales is waaaaaaaaaaay too long for my tastes. There's a lot of waiting.

The objects you're supposed to get aren't always easy to spot and I felt like there wasn't a lot of gamer testing for this. This frustrated me quite a bit.

The skill points you're supposed to "earn" in-between licenses seem stupidly earned. Drive fast and not crash. Huh? Seems like more of an afterthought than a requirement.

There's a lot of convoluted puzzle-solving that certainly makes the game more frustrating because it doesn't seem like the gamer testing was used on this either. Or if it was, it was ignored.

When you're riding through the city, where are the people? Also, you can't dismount and walk the sidewalks except in certain spots. Very limited.

Rent if you must, but do NOT buy.

Its not Metal Gear Solid 2, but its close!

Headhunter really isnt such a bad game. It has its ups, and it has it downs. The only good thing is riding a super-bike around town(the town and its surroundings are cheaply designed though).

Overall, Headhunter is not worth the [money]. ...

I have tried this game and broken my controler in the atempt to play it. And to sum this game up in word would be impossible So i will try it in 5 words "THIS GAME REALLY, REALLY, SUCKED".

I got this game on part exchange,for 7.99.It impressed me to start off with but after i had finished it ,there was'nt much to do.I ended up part exchanging this.Reason being that i am a metal gear solid fan,and after playing this i felt that this was in a different league.First of all it draggs you into the action a bit to early,there is'nt much of build up to the story.But i was impressed by some of the stuff jack wade could do compared to solid snake.Your enemy however could spot you more easily,than on mgs2.But during the end it failed to impress,it did'nt look like a much serious game compared to mgs,max payne,dmc ect in its genre.And sometimes the graphics looked a bit cartooney,and the ai and speaking by charchter was'nt exactly great.If u are a mgs fan....then try and rent it.Same goes for if you aint.But if you are planning on buying a action game,then get mgs2/SUBSTANCE if u have'nt already got it.
