If you played the original, you'll love this one! Coop mode is off the hook! Definately a must have for any PS2 collection.

If you're not already familiar with how the "Guitar Hero" games work, it essentially works like Dance Dance Revolution for a guitar. You hold a guitar-shaped controller, and you press the buttons on the guitar's fretboard according to the buttons that pop up on the screen. You get to play along with famous rock songs of today and yesterday. At first, it comes off as a children's game...but I'm 24, and my friends and I are totally addicted.

If you've already played the first "Guitar Hero" game, then you already know everything you need to about this game. There's nothing very different about this sequel from the first one. Aside from having a different set of songs to play with, it's basically more of the same...which is a good thing. They did however improve the training mode, where you can practice certain parts of songs that are giving you trouble, and even slow down the song so that you can get a feel for nailing the notes. Also, there's now a cool 2-player mode...one person plays the guitar notes, while the other plays the bass guitar notes. Like the first game, the songs on here aren't actually the original versions, they're covers. On the first game, they did a great job of making the songs sound extremely similar to the originals. But on here, several songs were done kinda weakly, but they're still fun to play along with all the same. If you loved the first game, you'll love this one, and I highly recommend picking up both games. They're great for parties, especially if you and your friends are fans of rock music.

Bought this for my 11 year old son and can't get it out of the hands of my 16 year daughter and her friends. The music is a little hard rock for my taste, but I have been known to sit there playing Killer Queen and More Than A Feeling quite a bit myself. A lot of fun.

its a great game and if you liked the first guitar hero, wow, your in for a suprise, with all new characters, outfits, venues, songs, and encores, i had a blast, didnt put it down for a week. and the great thing is, its not a game that u beat and thats it, ur done, unlike an adventure or shooting game u can keep playing it over and over! i love it

This game is definitely the most innovative game i've played ever (including the original.) Once you get used to the cotrols, you'll be playing songs like "Sweet Child Of Mine" by Guns and Roses, "Rock This Town" by the Stray Cats, or "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight" by Spinal Tap. All the songs are fun and exciting to play. This game is the reason to keep your PS2.

I bought the Guitar Hero 1 Bundle and Guitar Hero 2 Bundle for my grandson (7) and granddaughter (5) to share, they love it!!! The entire household is having fun with this game. I would recommend this game to anyone.

I have yet to find someone who does not have fun playing this game. I know several people who have even been motivated to buy a PS2 just to play it. If you like rock music, even a little bit, you will love this game.

I bought this game "for my kids", but I'll be perfectly honest, I have always wanted to shred on "You Really Got Me" and any number of other rock classics that are on this one! And now I can! (and have)
It's a blast to play, and the two-player modes (both competitive and cooperative) are a lot of fun. For extra fun, see who makes the best "guitar face" while playing :)
Great fun, great music, it's an all around winner
