A FANTASTIC LIGHT-GUN ARCADE SHOOTER! 9 OUT OF 10

5 Rating: 5, Useful: 1 / 1
Date: March 16, 2008
Author: Amazon User

X-Zone is your basic arcade shooter; you save humanity from being destroyed by a super computer gone apes***. Armed with a Super Scope Gun you must shoot numerous robots and various alien species in the X-Termination Zone (a.k.a X-Zone). This game has tightly polished gameplay and using your Scope Gun peripheal is a cinch (Yes, this game requires you to purchase the device to play it). The graphics look like they need a tune-up but are otherwise good. The environments in certain locations have damage modeling as well. You must have fast reflexes in shooting enemies otherwise you get damaged. This game is on-rails, meaning you only have control over aiming your weapon and not where you go but this game is very exciting and action-packed, so you will hardly notice as you rack up points for blowing robots and aliens back to the hell from which they came to save the planet. There are some slight flaws that can hamper the experience from time to time. One being your neck will get sore from being bent over too long to aim your Scope Gun. Second, you need to buy the Scope Gun to play this game. And third, the game gets pretty difficult as you go along. If you're looking for a great light-gun experience on your Super Nintendo that is not titled T2: The Arcade Game or Lethal Enforcers this game is a must-have for any fans of arcade shooters because it's just fantastic and well-made. Even if you've never heard of it, it's definitely worth a look. Unfortunately, this game is long-forgotten which is very sad considering it should be a classic game.
