devil may cry?

this games graphics are the only thing like devil may cry the game play [is awful] the game has no story plot. the only reason i give it 2 stars is because when i first bought it with silent hill 3 i though this game was awsome the first day then when i played it the next day i realy got into it and realized that this game wasnt as good as when i first played it. if you want a good game buy silent hill 3. dont waste your money on this [junk].

Not bad not bad at all. The gameplay in battle when you fight theses hordes of enemies is like dynstay warriors 4 except you use a summon creature called a legion to aide you in battle. You can battle without them but they just add a lot of flair to the game. The story just seems very dry to me if you rent it you will know what i mean it cannot really be explained in words it's just the storyline seems a bit hurried. I think the cool cutscenes that just look movielike really make up for it though.

Hey for those that liked Devil May Cry 2, this game, is a go getter. Fulled by revenge, you are the main character going against your best friend. You can summon up to three Legions at your side to help you go up against the forces of darkness. For they are conjured up from the shadows of darkness. I loved the graphics, they're truly amazing.
I love this game and I bet you will to.

No surpise nor disappointment, but better than DMC2

When I was playing Chaos Legion, I got the feeling that Capcom might have shifted some of its resources from Devil May Cry 2 to CL that made DMC2 such a big disappointment. I am sorry that they are so similar, except that CL is better and one can call helper creatures to fight in CL but not in DMC2. Would DMC2 be much improved without the existence of CL? God knows.

Back to CL, the graphics and designs are excellent. The moves and control are smooth and fast. The storyline is the same old fashioned. There are 14 stages. However, you will begin to find the gameplay repetitive after stage 7 and so you can complete the whole game in at most 6 hours. Therefore, unless you are a game collector and you love DMC and even DMC2 very much, just rent CL.

This game is great because it is very challenging and the special attacks in it are cool. The graphics are very detailed. You can even hear the main character breathing!

While not the best game for the PS2 in the Graphics or Story departments, you'll still find this game oddly addicting. It is a compelling play, though you'll probably only have patience for a single playthrough.

I have over 40 PS2 Games and I rate this game the BEST over Devil May Cry, and any other role/action game. I cannot wait for its second version to come out! Must buy!

This was actually one of the first games I ever placed a pre-order for. I ordered it, waited for it to come in, picked it up , took it home, opened it, ever so gently placed it into the PS2, turned it on and began to play.... what would turn out to be one of the BEST games I have ever played. The graphics and art work in the game are beyond good. The gameplay is smooth and intense. While not quite as break-neck as some of the Devil May Cry moments , the combat makes you think a bit more, and you are rewarded. The feel of the game is intense and inviting. Worth every penny. Incredible game.

Pros: The action, storyline, the music, the graphically stunning stages, the summons, and Seig's hair.

Cons: Stages are too short, Lord Delacroix is a emo-Sephiroth wannabe, and load times.
