In my opinion this the most fun I have had in a long time. Two other games come to mind when I compare them to Hitman2.1DeusEx and Medal of Honor. The 3 games I have mentioned are the best I have played in years.I'm 53 years young and I love shooter games.I could not quit playing Hitman 2 even if I was playing until 1 or 2 in the morning. This game blows Max Payne away. This is one hell of a game. Can't wait for part 3.
Lay it straight.

Ok I am going to lay it out on the table for all of you, because I am so tired of listening to people whine about this game. For starters this IS a game of stealth and it requires being swift and silent. THIS IS NOT HALF-LIFE PEOPLE! So for all of you out there who are P.O.ed over the idea that you can't going blasting your way through places and immediatley expect results(that you like)save it; it just doesn't work.
2 this sequel is 1000 times better than codename 47. I played 47 first and I personally thought it was very good idea for a game but not very well executed. I just found it frustratingly hard. But however I do recomend you at least play 47 first just to know what the hell is going on. (You wouldn't play Opposing force before Half-Life would you?)
And finally to all parents. This is not a kids game! It has a M rating for a very good reason. So if you are not comfortable with your kids going around and systematically assassinating people do not buy this game for them!
Oh before I forget if you saw the review that one guy wrote about it not working on XP, I have know idea what he's talking about, because I use XP and it runs flawlessly.
But my last and final note to this review- if you like bursting into a room and putting a double tap to some mob guys head with a silenced 9mm then this is the game for you.

This in my opinion is the game of the year. The graphics and game play were excelant towards the last half of the game the graphics started to slide in quality but they were still good. This game is the follow up to one of the most original games ever created #47 was forced to be a hit man once again after his mentor (who also happens to be a monk) is kidnapped. 47 is pulled out of the monastary and has to make hits for a powerful russian dude. The game is completely open ended. You can choose how you want to make the hits, messy, clean, u can choose with wut example. in the first level u can choose between a wire or a knife. You can run around killing wut ever u want just don't get caught doing it. No one can go wrong with this game it is exceptional and is great to add to the collection i highly recomend this game.

I was a huge fan of the first Hitman. Despite all the bad press it had been getting, I could see no fault with it. The idea of being able to play a professional hitman was beyond anything any other games had to offer at that time. The only fault that I had with the first Hitman was the lack of in-game saves.
Hitman 2 gave us the saves. Fine. I was hoping more from the team in terms of 47's skills/movement abilities instead of just more weapons. What about mantling - climbing over walls? Or what about the ability to distract the guards .. say, throwing his voice around? Or throwing rock/coin? Scaling building with more high tech equipments?
Hitman 2 is really more of the same, which is fine, really, if it is packaged as an expansion pack and not a sequel.
Excellent new game
