Backyard Wrestling: The New Form of Wrestling?

Having watched many of the BYW videos, and having watched many other backyard wrestling things off the net, I expected this game to be...well in short, boring. I was wrong. Yes I was wrong, the game is great and exceeds my imagination. There is all most no limit to what you can do. Burn people, throw them off things, jump off things, it goes on and on. Plus, the blood. Now Im not real big on blood, but if you've ever watched BYW, you know these guys bleed, and its good to see that here. WWE SmackDown! has yet to put blood in there's, even if its only a little bit. (They haven't put blood in anything since WWF Attitude for PS1) That aside, the soundtrack to this game is great. I like ICP, but im not a real big fan, but in this game it fits right in. I am a little disapointed in the controls, they NEED to be worked on. (Thats what BYW2 will hopefully have corrected.) The create-a-character is laking also, but I think that's only so due in part to the SmackDown! games, which have HUGE create-a-character selections. Other than that its a great game. I encourage everyone to go out and at least rent it. (You'll end up buting it, trust me.)

This is probably the best game I've ever played!!! I am a huge fan of ICP and Twiztid as it is but this made me like them even more. The soundtrack is awesome but they could've used more Twiztid songs or had some Blaze and ABK on the soundtrack or Zug Izland on the gaming part instead of the credits. The moves are awesome but they did have a small create-a-character choice. That didn't matter to me though cause the character I created looks ill. My brother and I have unlocked all of the characters except Tylene Buck so if you have unlocked her please e-mail me or something like that. You can also e-mail me if you need to know how to unlock any other characters. They did an awesome job on how everybody looks too. The only one they could've done a better job on was Jaime Madrox. But other than that it was an awesome job on the wrestlers. They even got how they acted down and all of that too. The graphics are awesome and while the areas are a little small and there are small glitches, occasionally, it's an all-around awesome game. The most that has ever happened to me was getting stuck behind the trailer in the truck stop area. I would recomend this game to anyone who likes either wrestling or Psychopathic. If my e-mail doesn't show up on this post just post another thing asking for the cheats. I'll get back to you.

Okay, first off, your opinion of this game is very much affected by your siding of the great battle between Insane Clown Posse(oohyeah) and Eminem(pshh), because Phsycopathic Records is the unofficial representatives of the game. E.G. Playing as Violent J, Shaggy 2 dope, Monoxide, Sabu, etc. In other words if you like ICP, you'll like this game. If you like Eminem(hiss) you'll probably be too blind sided by the fact that ICP is in the game, and thus put forth prejudices against a pretty good game.

This game is really fun. The levels are small, but very adequate in the fact that almost anything can be damaged, or used as a weapon. Like, ripping picture frames off the wall and beating someone with it. Also the way the health bar is alot like fighting games, rather that wrestling games wear your health bar refills slowly. The graphics are good and the soundtrack is better than sex, but, yes the but. In short, the game is short. I tear through games quickly, but never the first time playing it, beating it in less than half a day. I beat talkshow mode in about 5 1/2 hours, that means most of the extra objectives of each level. Even the matches in their own are short, maybe if they had a third health bar, usually a match is over within 1 1/2 minutes.(the human body can withstand more than that) The other bad thing, create a character, they have premade costumes to choose from rather than articles of clothing. The games main failing point.

All in all, the game is well-worth the buy, but if you one of those people who like to try things out, rent it, but only play for like an hour or all the bonuses and things are found. The two player match up is really the most enduring part of the game. Theres nothing more fun then two maybe 115lb chicks in there underwear throwing 30lb stuffed chairs across the room at each other.

At first when I looked at this game and read the reviews it looked really bad. I thought, im not even going to rent this game and i didnt. But when my friend did i went over to his house and we played it. It was one of the best games i have ever played. It was halarious and great fun. The create a player isnt that great but it doesnt pull the game down. There are so many things you can do. You can go from throwing things and hitting people with car doors or getting burnt or set on fire by a welder. You can jump off water towers and throw people into fish tanks and then for fun throw the fish at them. In each level their are tons of weapons and can be used in different ways. The blood in this game is really fake but looks good.

This is a good wrestling game, it's worth buying just so you can wrestle someone else in vs. mode. For this price - get it!

Before this game was released, I was a little tenative. I mean, backyard wrestling isn't exactly my favorite--- but once the game was out and in my hands, words cannot describe my addiction to it.

This is the first time since the game was released on TUESDAY that I've managed to pry myself away from it. The game's features are amazing. Fully interactive environments, hardcore wrestlers like MAD MAN PONDO, JOSH PROHIBITION, and M DOGG 20, a killer soundtrack, and an amazing affinity for blood and gore!

Nothing is more fun than sitting down with a group of friends and letting the blood flow in this game! The fact that you can use or climb on just about everything in this game is an amazing feature and I applaud EIDOS for having the guts to try something new and exciting in a tired old genre!

Thanks to EIDOS, the wrestling game genre has new life! Get your copy of BACKYARD WRESTLING. You won't regret it! :-D

This game is fun bloody and violent,juggalos rejoice!!!! Plenty of characters,levels,blood,and gore. Lyrics from Twiztid and ICP keep this party rock'n.You can unlock all sorts of characters including Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope and a character most people don't know how to unlock, Sonny D. Chopper.
