An NBA LIVE Clone... but wait, it has something different

4 Rating: 4, Useful: 0 / 1
Date: December 31, 2006
Author: Amazon User

Even tho this is basicly just an NBA LIVE clone from EA Sports, it's just pretty much NBA LIVE 95 with college teams... but there is something about this game that I really like compared to the NBA LIVE games.

It may not seem like much to you, but you can actualy dunk the ball enough to smash the backboards in this one!!!

This game would be my second favourite of these NBA LIVE games on the SNES/GEN/MD.

None of them come close to competing with the best of them all NBA LIVE 96, and I will probably never ever play NBA LIVE 95 ever again, but this one which is basicly the 95 versions clone does have replay value mainly because of being able to rip the ring out on a hard dunk!

Unfortunatly it was only ever released for the Sega MD/GEN, it wouldve been a lot more popular on the snes and I only found out about this game this year in 2006 from a video i saw on youtube!

It probably never got the chance it deserved, but EA SPORTS shouldve kept the backboard breaking going in there other NBA titles after this one. It actualy breathed a bit of new life into these games for me! and that one thing alone makes this game unique to the others int he series.

If only this one was a clone of NBA LIVE 96 and not 95, then it would get the perfect 5 stars for having the ability to create your own player. But thats only one reason i love NBA LIVE 96 on snes over all of them, but this game ranks in at #2!
