I also had the experience of this game failing to run past the title screen, just before the menu should come up. Thank you Mr, Partsch for letting us know that Activision's customer service is as competent as their product testers. And yes, my computer meets the specs required to play the game so buyer beware!

As my title say, this is only for the people who plays and like the game true crime, streets of L.A.
First off all, i didn?t hve any problem in the instalation of the game. P4, 2.4, 1 giga RAM, Nvidia 6200 256 Mb.
In the first level you take the role of a young ganster, looking for revenge. This leves is a tituorial one, and show you what to do to progress in the game. This is a very good idea. After you kill all your enemies, one inspector ofers you help to become a police oficer. In the nex section, you have to pass some tests, and also, the game tells you what to do to advance. How to drive a car, how to figth, and how to use weapons.
In this game, the problem of the fights is a little resolve. Noew you kind of disapered of the monitor, and can look at your enemies. You have a diferents kind of hits, some whit your hands and dome whit your feet. Also there is a auto lock when using a gun, and this hepls you when you are surounden whit enemies. You only hace to press a button, and shot. The auto lock, chosee the enemie in front or near you, forget the problems of L.A., when the auto lock chosee the enemie far from you, even if you have one in yours eyes.
Alspo new is the ability to chosee the car you want, the eweapons, the clothes. There are a variaty things to buy. To do that, you have to do some things like arrest people, kill them or more thing out of the law, like sell drugs to the people in the streets and not given to the police.
Of ciuyrse this is a game not for kids, look out, there are drug dealers, prostitues, and a lot of violence in this game.
The graphics are a litlle beter than L.A., but not much. One problem is thar every people in some streets of N.Y. are the same, like all of them are wearing a uniform
The controls, as i aready said before, is a little beter, because you have one level which teach you how to play. Of course, you can change your controlers, but the way there are, it?r fine to me.
The sound is, for me, the best part, because there is a lot of god music in it. Sorry, but there are some groups, which i do?n?t kwnow, but the sound is great.
The A.I., is a lot beter than in L.A., because this time the people don?t stay there if you want to arrest them. This time, if you take your time to come for them, they run, and you have to chase them. In N.Y. it?s more easy to defeat and old laydy who comits some crime, and the fihgths aren?t to long. This is more real, it?s more easy to beat and old laydy, than to defeat a ganster or and arm criminal, who put all the resistance they have to evade the capture.
The strets and graphics of N.Y. are very well representated. I never benn in N.Y., but the streets don?t looke to bad. When you are driving, an arrow appearce tho tell you the name and the way the nex streets is. Of course, betwen misions, you can drive freely for N.Y. and try to arrest people, and obtaind more mony, to buy a new car, more amo, and more clothes.
All, in all, this is a better game than L.A., and, if you are fan of the series, buy the game right now, if not, rent it first, and if like, buy it.
ENJOY.
Sloppy port from console to PC

I bought this game hoping for something similar to the GTA series. The game crashed my PC the first 5 or 6 times I tried to start it. After lowering my resolution (I have an ATI Radeon X700 card), I was able to start the game.
Unfortunately, it is clear from the start that the game is truly intended for joystick/gamepad users. I'm a mouse/keyboard guy. You move your character around using the standard wsdf keys. The mouse, however control was barely there. Also, to attack, you have to use the keys on the numpad!!!! How the heck are you supposed to move the character around and fight at the same time?
I believe that most of the problems can be attributed to a very sloppy port of this game from console to PC. On a console, this game might be just fine.
Luckily, I only paid $9.99 for this game. I'm gonna try and sell it to some sucker on ebay.

I found this game so much fun that I kept on playing it for a whole week. But it took me a little while to complete a lot of missions because most of them were very hard. In the first mission you are a gangster looking for an evil person named Kev Lar. I hope you enjoy all your cool games folks. I suggest you should all get this game.
