Overall this game is awesome. Sound is soooo realistic. In single player mode you can play as a Soldier, Predator, or Alien. This game can scare the pants off you if you like thrillers. You dont know whats around the next corner. Multiplayer adds so much fun to the aspect of the game because you can play with up to 16 players on one server. Best of all, for you 56K users out there, this game doesnt lag, and when it gets slow, you dont have to quit playing, frame rates dont slow and keep going. A little graphically intense for younger audiences so I recommend it to 15+ year olds.

All I can say is "Go out and purchase this game, and experience the nailbiting, adrenaline pumping action brought to you by AVP2!" There are way to many pros to talk about in 1000 words so all i will say is: "MULTIPLAYER GAMES RULE!" and even if you have a [bad] connection, single player is great also! One bad side is that it has no skirmish mode, like in AVP1. However, the ability to choose many a characters in Multiplayer mode has sorta made up for that. All of the different multiplayer "modes" are great too! (Evac, Death Match....)
GO BUY IT! Then buy the Expansion (Primal Hunt) when it comes out!

True, this game is far superior to it's predecessor,
but it is also too short, like it's predecessor. Why
the hell can't they get it right??? MAKE A GAME THAT
LASTS LONGER THAN ONE DAY.

The novelty of playing an alien or predator is my favorite part of this game. There are many other first-person-shooters that simply flood the market with the same uninteresting combat with weapons simply copied from other games. The graphics aren't as impressive as some other games, but that's not the point. I recommend this to anyone who has seen Alien, Aliens, or any of the Predator movies.

It's been said before, and it will be said again (at least, I hope so): the original was good, this is better. No kidding. I bought the AvP:Gold Ed. a few years after it was initially released; I was rather impressed. I have been waiting for the release of the sequel ever since I heard that work on it had begun. The graphics and game play rival (and in some ways, surpass) all the competing games on the market. Aliens vs Predator 2 has made improvements in all the discernable areas. Not just in game play, but in its story. Some people in review columns have criticized Fox Interactive for the similarities in the movies and original game, but that's why it's a sequel. The improvements I've seen involve a much greater understanding of the xenomorph life cycle, more realism in the technological strength of the predators, a comparable balance between all three species, and the closer intertwining of the three campaigns. All in all, I love this game. Unfortunately, I do not have as much time as I used to for game play, but this is the one that seems to monopolize my game time. Due to the time restrictions on my gaming time, I was forced to beat the marine campaign in less than a week. It was a week with very little sleep and left me hanging for more. I've been focusing on the predator and alien sides and am still impressed with the progression from the first game. The only thing I might have a problem with was that my 128 MB of RAM was not quite enough to prevent game lag.

I have it two weeks and it's great.I like Predator.Cycle Vision modes are great.Marine is good too, but it's similar with Half-Life, Red Faction or Soldier of Fortune.Alien is not very fun. When I have boots for Multiplayer, then that was game without faultes.And the Disc is fantastic.Achhh, now I must play,play,play...

Aliens versus Predator 2 is my favorite game by far, maybe even better than my beloved x-box games, but i love it so much!!The gameplay, graphics, and sound are all excellent, and the best thing is you can play as a human-chomping alien, stealthy and smart predator, or the tough, weapon-packed marine. Also, you can play multiplayer games online which are very addictive. if you like first person shooters, you'll love this game!if you dont, get it anyway!!!!!!

This is definately the best Aliens vs. Predator game anyone can think up. As an Alien, you start off as a Face-Hugger and you must jump on someone and implant an Alien inside them. Note, you can't jump on someone in front of another person, or they will remove the Alien within right after you come off. After that, you are Chest-Burster and must find enough food (and stay alive) to become a full-frown Alien drone. I'm still having trouble with that. Let's move on to the next one, my favorite, the Predator. Here's what you have to do, all you get when you first start is your spear gun, shocker, and wristblades. You have to find a few Predators as you go along and they give you more weapons (in the first level, you will receive a cutting disc and blade staff). Also, you will face Aliens at the end of the first level, not to ruin anything, but I thought I just might warn you about that. Also, as a Predator, you get thermal vision (tracks humans), infa-red vision (tracks Aliens), and your other vision tracks Predators, if you kill another Predator, your game is over. Let's move on to Marine, that one definately doesn't go as high as Alien and Predator, but still has its cool points, like the awesome weapons you get. Overall, this game really rocked my world and it'll rock yours, too. Pick it up and experiance real video game fun!

When I first heard about this game I immediatley went out and grabbed a copy, the game itself if far superior to it's predecessor, this game features a better story line, better graphics, and sounds that were actually featured in the films, this game does however lack AI, This is a good and bad thing, the AI or lack there of, actually makes the gameplay predectible but also makes the game somewhat more eerie when you see a marine dragged into an airduct and killed, and its actually in the game, this means no game inturruptions for a lengthy FMV sequence showing someone dragged into the ducts but you have nothing to fear because your not in the FMV but these events actually take place while your in the game. This game also features a better ALIEN life cycle beginning as a face hugger, then as a chestburster and you actually get to chew your way out of some poor shmucks chest. As a marine you get a lamp, something that was needed terribly in the games predecessor, it also features better looking guns. the predator is done perfectly, when your in a duct cloaked watching humans below in your thermal vision, your advanced weapons prepared to slaughter all those below, you really do begin to feel that you are the most powerful being in the universe. This game however will run your computer ragged if you dont have a powerful high end machine. This game also features a nice array of multiplayer characters, maps, and gameplay formats. This game is gonna be around for a while and its perhaps one of the better movie tie-in games ever made

I am one of the biggest fans of Aliens and Predators since I can't even remember, and when I first saw the first AvP, I was over-joyed. This one has no competition against the first. Its best scares are as the human being against an extremely smart hunter, and a vicious, stealthly alien. With all the players you have an extreme arsenal, well not so much with the Alien but, you go through the ranks of one, each with its personal deadly weapon, so its in some ways better. I suggest you play alone in the dark, because it just adds that kind of scary feel. It has fairly good handling, and amazing graphics. I love the game and suggest you buy it.
