Simply Incredible!!

The Original Elite Force game was groundbreaking and one of the best games made to date. I didn't see how they could improve on that but I am awed at this game. It's simply the best game I have played to date. It ranks in at one of the 6 all time best games ever in my opinion. Just for the record, my top six games ever go like this:

6 Unreal II
5 Star Trek Elite Force
4 Indiana Jones and The Emperor's Tomb
3 Star Wars Jedi Knight II:Outcast
2 Star Trek Elite Force II
1 Halflife

These games are simply the best made to date and Elite Force II ranks right at the top in my book. I don't know where to begin. Superb graphics, sound, playability, storyline, weaponry. It's like stepping into the Star Trek Universe. The graphics were completely authentic in every detail to the Star Trek world. I hope there is an Elite Force III in the future as I am hungry for more. Maybe the Elite Force Team could be assigned to Deep Space Nine next time, that would be awesome I think.

Awesome!

I think this is the best game ever! It's so realistic & the graphics are SWEET! Star Trek fans (like myself) will go CRAZY over it and i've only played the demo! It's just like your there! BUT-I do have one problem. TO ALL THE DISTRIBUTORS: GET THE FULL VERSION OUT FASTER-IT'S KILLING ME!

Very classy, very fun

I bought this game for 5 bucks at a local retail store and wasn't expecting much but this game is absolutely huge and extremely detailed, not to mention very fun. Some people have mentioned the graphics being dated, but even so they're very detailed and stylized. Sure there are no 3d texture mapped polygons or gratuituous FMVs every three seconds...that's why I liked it! Plus it has all the original cast voices and sound fx which perfectly recreate the feel of the series. A lot of time and care went into this game and it really shines. If you're a Star Trek fan you'll LOVE it, and even if you're not and you just want a fun, old school game to play then definitely check this one out.

Great Star Trek Game!

I have been playing for a week and haven't had any problems with this game. The graphics are really good and the sound pulls you into the game. A couple times some encounters made me jump, and that is rare in a game. If you liked the first Elite Force then you should like this one too. There is one mission that you get to some some space walking on the Hull. One mission you have to manually control a turrent on the Starship in order to save it. This is just a task of the missions. This game is fun to play!

Great Game. Superb graphics. I would also like to say that the woman who cancelled the order because their is no Alexendra Munro is passing up the best sequel ever. Her raiting of 1 star was based on her thinking the company was marketig to men only. If it bothers you that much go get Laura Croft Tomb Raider.

This Game ....

I've been a die hard fan of the Starfleet Command series since it came out. Starting with SFC1 I had finally found a game that would hold my interest for years!

...I couldn't wait...bought it, installed it, played it, HATED IT!! This game is so far removed from the other 3 titles and it is a joke. By trying to appeal to the TNG fans and to attract new customers, the game was simplified to the point of a 7 year old could play it and win. Go into reverse and fire...that is it...no tactics nada.

It is a shame that such a great Game title has gone to the dogs....

Spoiled by Bridge Commander

I made the mistake of playing Star Trek Bridge Commander before Starfleet Command 3. SC3 feels like a kiddie version, an old 2-D flyer game. The ships appear to have no physical weight. They're unrealistic. There's also a floating red line which signifies the boundary over which you cannot cross without exiting a mission. I spent half my time trying to avoid this dreaded 'edge of the universe' instead of enjoying the game. There's also no Z-axis. The universe has become a flat place, so without looking up or down, you can always find something to ping with your tiny torpedoes. This game has even done what no Star Fleet scientist has even been able to do. They've conquered the dreaded cloaking device. What's the fun in that?

Maybe I just didn't get it. When targeting subsystems like the aft beams on ships in Bridge Commander, you can watch your phaser fire literally blow the tail off a Cardassian Galor and send the pieces floating off into space. SC3 phasers reminded me of water guns. A quick short beam at the middle of the ship with no visible damage, no matter what I targeted. It was nothing like the real Star Trek episodes or movies. And all ships are evidently in partial phase, because you can fly your ship directly through every other ship with no danger of collision. I guess that was necessary with no Z-axis.

Star Fleet Command 3 is much like the ships programmed into it--no real weight or substance. The opening movie sequence is as good as it gets. The rest looks like an old Dungeons & Dragons board. If you like Star Trek as real as it gets, buy Bridge Commander instead.

yuk!!!

The graphics are [bad]. What a piece of garbage! Armada was far superior! I ended up unistalling this waste of money 10 minutes after installing it. Go with the original if you haven't played it, or Bridge Commander. Much better choices.
